Are There JW Pimos In Here? by pinkylovely: 8:42pm On Dec 07, 2024 |
Some days I just want to vent. Other days, I really just want someone who understands to hear me out without tagging me an apostate.
As a JW, over time, I've questioned some of the denomination's doctrines. E.g abstinence from blood transfusion even in life threatening situations, 144,000, marrying only in the denomination...etc.
It's sad that when I genuinely seek to find answers about why certain things are the way they are in the denomination, I end up getting bashed.
Sometimes, I wish my heart just never started questioning things. Maybe I'll still be wallowing in my naivety and agreeing to every single thing the denomination tells us to do. But no matter how hard I try to just ignore what I feel, I still have questions. Lots of 'em.
So, my only option? Bottle up how I feel even it deeply hurts and pretend everything is fine. Yet, every day. Every blessed day, I feel like I'm fading away.
Was just wondering if there are other Nigerian PIMOs in here?
You can always drop your comments. Maybe vent it out as well and let's all connect. |

Jesus never , as in NEVER preached any denomination or any church. He never commanded that you must go to a church or be identified with a particular denomination.
Instead he Preached the Kingdom of God and it's Righteousness. A longer version of it is in Matthew and a Summarized version is in Luke 6 from around verse 20.
This exact things that Jesus commanded are directly not done by most denominations you know.
Infact, Jesus once prophesied that in the last days, people would no longer go to temples(churches) to worship God. Instead, they would worship God in truth and Spirit 3 Likes |

Personally, I've figured that all denominations have core beliefs that are meant to convince their members that by being in their denomination, they're on the right track. E.g Like the Church of Christ. I've attended church services there before. However, I just love to be liberal with a lot of these things. I just only feel like the Jws are extremist when it comes to issues like this. I mean, a member can't decide to move to a different Christian denomination without being labelled as 'the one who left Jehovah'. Plus the extreme discrimination of other denominations. 2 Likes |

Calling the so called anointed "Jesus's brothers" makes no sense to me too Hey there. Seems I've seen your posts somewhere on other jw PIMO threads as well. Thank you for commenting. I agree as well. The teaching of when Christ started to rule in heaven seems heavily flawed to me. I've figured a lot of PIMIs who try to explain this belief just say what the governing body says with the same explanations and calculations they give them all the time. 2 Likes |

You can always drop your comments. Maybe vent it out as well and let's all connect. Although I am not PIMO, I was once in your shoes. But at some point I could no longer keep going until I decided to rip out the band aid and just leave for good so that my mind can be at rest. I want to say some things to comfort you. I want you to understand that it is completely normal for you to question things. It is a basic human right. A very normal Human reaction. And it is completely abnormal for you not to question. Anyone trying to force you not to question is trying to mold you into a Robot who only listens to orders. That is not normal! The Bible also agrees that we are supposed to question things. The Bible says we are to be like the Beoreans, who even though they were preached to by Paul who was sent by Jesus, they still needed to investigate all what he said in the scriptures to ensure that what he said were True. Based on this, Jehovah's Witnesses are supposed to question everything their Governing body teaches them. They are supposed to investigate and ask questions to make sure that what they teach Comes from the Holy Spirit and not from another kind of Spirit. And if they are criticised for questioning, then you will know something is wrong and the Governing body are not following the Bible. Unfortunately, JWs are banned from doing so which goes against the Bible. If you are not comfortable with questions, it means you are teaching Lies and you don't want them to be found out. If you do a thorough reading of the Bible, you will find out that what JWs teach are not there. They can only be found there if their Bible has been doctored, manipulated and mutilated, which we know to be True. Have you gone through this thread below? https://www.nairaland.com/8088472/manipulation-bible-verses-jehovahs-witnessYou need to read through it. I created the thread as a resource for PiMOS like you. After reading it, you will feel less guilty or sad for questioning JW doctrines. The thread exposes all the Bible verses that were scattered, manipulated and destroyed in the New World Translation. You have the fundemantal Human right to question Beliefs. Never allow Jehovah's Witnesses to make you feel guilty for questioning. You have freedom of religion. When JWS are studying with their Bible students, they always tell them to question their pastors. Why is there no Freedom to question The Governing body? You must remember that you have the Freedom to believe in the Bible. Always remember that. You were raised in a Cult. And Cults control Your Mind, body and Soul. But in Jesus Christ, there is freedom just as the Bible says. This is the difference between following Jesus and Watchtower. Always remember this each time the thought of guilt runs through your mind. Try to Deprogramme your mind body and Soul from JW Indoctrination. According to Scientific research, their indoctrination/ Brainwashing damages the Brain. Another thing, stop asking JWs questions in Real life. You can do that online. But in real life, stop conversing with them. They are under serious brainwashed conditions. Find your fellow PIMOs and rant away with them. We have EXJW Reddit for that. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Calling the so called anointed "Jesus's brothers" makes no sense to me too Well, Jesus is now King and has been given authority over heaven and Earth. He told his disciples this before he went back to heaven. All of this took place before 1914. Jehovah's Witnesses are still teaching a False prophecy therefore making them False Prophets to this day. As for the anointed called Jesus's brothers, that one is not biblical at all. It is a made up, rubbish doctrine to use as a means to control JWs. They want JWs to obey them at all cost as their Mediator since JWs have rejected Jesus as Mediator. It is just a control tactic. 1 Like |

I was once brainwashed so I understand exactly what it's like to be so heavily indoctrinated without having a mind of your own. Yes. I look at them and say to myself "well, I was once in their shoes and nobody could change my mind about anything". So, I understand why they are indoctrinated. It took me reading the Bible on my own to help me understand that I needed to drop every single indoctrination Watchtower had instilled in my Mind and Soul. I had to do some work on myself to undo all the Brainwashing. For some people, it takes years to undo it. But for me, before I woke up, I believe I have been PIMQ all my life because I have been questioning the doctrines since I was a Teen. So, my deprogramming process was Easy to do within Months. I believe Almighty God and Jesus were working on me, pointing me to things that didn't make sense with the Holy Spirit, flashing questions in my brain like, Why are JWs acting like this? Why is It difficult to find friends in this religion? Why can't I fit in? The atmosphere here is very Toxic. Why are these people acting Robotic? Why is there so much Bad blood and Gossip? Why are they so Fake? Are we not the One True religion? What kind of explanation is this in this publication? This is nonsense. Why will they say this? Why will they say I can't make friends outside the religion? Are they any better than the world? Look at them! Why is It that I could fit in very well with non JWs but not with JWS?These were the questions running through my mind as a Teenager. I thank God that he was pointing these things to me, telling me I am in the wrong place with wrong people. My kind of Personality is not supposed to be there. An Authentic Personality that is analytical and that questions is not welcome there. That's why I couldn't fit in. Something is wrong there. All those thoughts in me were From God nudging me to question everything. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Each person has a reason why they choose to do something but in a crowd you may think all of you have the same thought whereas each will turn back when they get tired. The organization known globally today as Jehovah's Witnesses began with few men who were making research to find out how churches of Christendom went off course. During their research they discovered that the Bible in circulation has been corrupted so they need to find out what was written in the original manuscripts at least to start from somewhere. You know the rest of the stories so how come some today now claim they are PHYSICALLY IN MENTALLY OUT of this group when there are thousands of different religious groups they can join if they no longer feel OK with Jehovah's Witnesses? First of all it started when the organization began talking about the "LAST DAYS" many in early twenties century sold everything they had to support the work this organization was doing notably is a member of this group called Charles Taze Russell who gave up his business empire to further the global campaign about the coming Kingdom of God and many people did the same without expecting a return or profit other than the three necessities of life which is FOOD, CLOTHING and SHELTER. That is the Genesis how of former members of this group started claiming they are no longer following what the organization teaches. Charles wife began giving him a tough time as she is no part of those making decision in the group and her dreams of living big like other wives of rich men in America was shattered, many children of business owners who were dreaming of taking over their parents business empires began questioning the idea of LAST DAYS as they feel it's the reason why their parents gave up their assets and willed it all to the Watchtower. From that time on till today they were looking for means to discredit whatever this group says but sadly most people who don't even have what to inherit as wealth from their own parents started joining the so called PIMOS. I am an ex Muslim so when i first met Jehovah's Witnesses the only thing that i could think of after studying the Bible with them for about a year is "Can i find a better performing group of faithful worshipers like them?"Why do i think this way? You can always drop your comments. Maybe vent it out as well and let's all connect. My sister, I've never been a JW, but I understand your pain. Although our situations differ, I've had a similar journey out of faith, and I know how sad and draining it is to hide your authentic self and the questions that come with it. It’s exhausting to act a part in a community whose beliefs and values your heart is struggling to accept. I remember the turmoil—wishing my mind didn’t ask so many questions or pick things apart. People often act as if one just wakes up one morning with dead faith, but they don’t see the struggle to keep it alive, trying to address the questions that challenge it. I’ve left (though not from JW), so I guess I’m a POMO and have become the black—or lost—sheep. I know my life would have been much easier if I’d stayed with the herd, but I’m more fulfilled living authentically, and I’m at peace. I don’t wish for your journey to have the same destination as mine, but wherever it leads, don’t panic—you’ll be alright. And remember, you’re not strange for having doubts. Doubts are a sign of a healthy mind, capable of critical thinking. They’re something to be celebrated, not shamed. If you decide to step away, you’re not alone; there are millions of us like you, many of us doubling and tripling the freedom and joy in our hearts. If you decide to stay, it helps to find people you can share with authentically—like you’re already doing with this post—people who have gone through a similar phase and endured. Faith can be a powerful thing when it’s true, mature, and measured. Still, it’s okay to be the black sheep. I wish you the best on your journey, and I hope wherever it leads is magnitudes better than where you started. By the way, I was just wondering the other day—I haven’t seen any JW door-to-door evangelism or stands on the wayside in years! What happened? I kinda miss you guys. 1 Like 1 Share |

the way you put it cracked me up 🤣 Covid has really changed the world, I didn't realize it has changed the Church too. COVID will change the Cult that is pretending to be a Christian religion, a religion that is not firmly rooted with the word of God. Their Leaders could have 100% control over them before COVID. After COVID, a drop in zealousness started and it kept increasing since then. The motivation to go out and preach was just to have Hours to report. When they realised this drop in zealousness, they removed Hours reporting in order to motivate JWs to preach again. Did that work? No way! Instead, JWs dropped preaching completely. What you are seeing is a Slow death of the religion. The Religion is losing members at a fast pace and they were forced to make some changes to Lure people in. Did that also work? No. We are hearing more changes are coming. The JW Cult wants to rebrand because Business is not booming again with their Current plan. 1 Like |

What are you doing in a Thread for JW PiMOs? Is there any rule that could stop anyone from commenting? You go cry tire! |

You go cry tire! Why do you love the company of Apostates after you have been warned to stay away? The company of your fellow JWs bore you. You don't learn anything from them. That's why you are always here. Can you see why your Fellow JWs call you an Apostate? You don't listen to instructions. You will soon join us. |

So i will leave the company of people who love and cherish my presence to join faceless people who kept dwelling on their past without making any progress no group, no church, no common thought everyone just do as he wants claiming you're believers. Ọmọ the worstest thing is denying what you know is the truth. If you people can't find a better performing group than JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES it simply means you're all deceiving yourselves! |

MaxInDHouse: Each person has a reason why they choose to do something but in a crowd you may think all of you have the same thought whereas each will turn back when they get tired.
I am an ex Muslim so when i first met Jehovah's Witnesses the only thing that i could think of after studying the Bible with them for about a year is "Can i find a better performing group of faithful worshipers like them?"
Why do i think this way?
Religion is as old as mankind but there has never been a time on this planet that we have a religion that perfectly fulfilled what is found written in a religious book the way JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES are doing today!
I read the Bible book of Isaiah 2:2-4 and Micah 4:1-3 and there is no group, religion or organization fulfilling this prophecy except the Jehovah's Witnesses.
So when some people now say they are PIMOs Physically In Mentally Out of the organization i can feel their pain because there is no other place to go and worship the God of their choice except in the midst of this HOLY GROUP! Matthew 5:14-16 OK! |

I believe Almighty God and Jesus were working on me, pointing me to things that didn't make sense with the Holy Spirit, flashing questions in my brain like,Why are JWs acting like this? Why is It difficult to find friends in this religion? Why can't I fit in? The atmosphere here is very Toxic. Why are these people acting Robotic? Why is there so much Bad blood and Gossip? Why are they so Fake? Are we not the One True religion? What kind of explanation is this in this publication? This is nonsense. Why will they say this? Why will they say I can't make friends outside the religion? Are they any better than the world? Look at them! Why is It that I could fit in very well with non JWs but not with JWS?
These were the questions running through my mind as a Teenager. I'm happy for you really. I'll be a happy person if I could take this bold step. But... |

Amen! Thanks so much for this. God bless you real good. You've described the situation perfectly well. About the door to door preaching and public witnessing, we resumed about 2 years after COVID-19 era. The Jws absence in your locality could depend on other factors too. But the door to door preaching and public witnessing is still very much on. 1 Like |

Just ignore him. He's looking for attention. Hilarious indeed! You are trying to hide yourself in the midst of organized living people who are benefiting themselves as one big and happy family of peace loving worshipers but seeking the attention of faceless fugitives.
