We are not a people of strong convictions, all we do is shouting on social media. No ideology no principles.

Labour Party is now treated like a used ashawo.
I am sure even Peter Obi would have still dumped the LP after winning the presidential election.
The LP was just a means of transportation, to take new politicians to the next level.
It was actually never a real political party.
Abure and co are bunch of business men.
Now is obvious what Kenneth Okokwon was complaining about.

Anytime I see defection, I am reminded of the comment someone made about Nigerian politicans...that there are two types of NIgerian politicans...those in the ruling party, and those trying to get into the ruling party.

That's why the Obidient movement was doomed from the start. It was made up and led by Nigerians trying to get into the ruling party, it was not a movement for change.

God knows, it was the only available alternative to APCPDP, flaws and all. Atiku was not it, and neither was tinubu. Obi too was not it, but of the three, he was the least bad. The good guys were in smaller parties, and Nigerians always laugh at smaller parties, which is why we don't get good leaders.

But now that the dust has settled, we are seeing the true colors of the Obident movement members. They are, after all typical Nigerian politicans.

Politicans ride on the popularity of popular politicans to get elected. (that's how Shehu Sani became a Senator, by riding on Buhari's back. As someone who is far more comfortable with people like Sowore and company, it was the only way he could get elected).

At least Senator Sani stood true to his convictions and left APC when the mess got too much for him. These ones on the other hand...

The law is there already, it's just not enforced by inec because of a tiny clause which makes the law ineffective. The clause is that you're allowed to change party if there's factions or crisis in your party, only the supreme Court can interpret what this law mean very well, so as to give it a legal backing. I expect this to be done when/if the suspended Rivers lawmakers court case rich the SC. And that is a big if, because the supreme Court can be useless too these days.
