I complained previously on how Abapower connection was touching our building.

After waiting for Abapower to no avail, I decided to cut the wire by myself. I recorded a video of an electrician that works around here who usually collaborate with Abapower officials, I sent the video and the name of the person to one of the senior staff of Abapower in WhatsApp message and she said he's not authorized. This electrician asks people for money so he can connect their wires. The road construction has affected some connections and Abapower has left it's obligation for people to resort to self-help.


When the electrician saw that I have cut the wire, he made arrangements with others to get a machine to shift the pole forward.


I have attached picture of the pole before the drainage construction, in order to cure the ignorance of some people who commented on the previous thread that the building trespassed.

With the before and after photo of the drainage construction, it shows majority of the houses on that Street do not leave the necessary setback.
If that your house is in Lagos, my brother, you have put others in problem as all houses are likely to go for the wire.
Now that you have damaged a public infrastructure, how do you expect others to have light? A clinic or hospital down the road might be using the light you just cut off

Didn't you see from the picture and post that the pole has been shifted forward finally and the wire has been reconnected?

So I should not do anything and allow naked wire to touch our building? If it electrocutes someone, will you raise the person from the dead?
