How To Control A Whitefly Problem: Carefully inspect new plants before transplanting. Dip foliage and root ball in soapy water to clean and kill any existing whitefly eggs, nymphs or adults. Beauveria bassiana sprays (Mebotrix) are effective for ongoing control of whiteflies in gardens or commercial growing. They use the fungus to slow feeding/reproduction and kill the infected pests. Using biorational control sprays also helps limit environmental impacts on non-target organisms like bees and pollinators. If necessary, knockdown sprays of contact insecticides will quickly reduce whitefly numbers. Repeat applications may be necessary as most sprays have little residual impact. Neem Oil is a growth and feeding inhibitor commonly used by organic gardeners for general pest control. Pyrethrins sprays are excellent for rapid reduction of large pest populations, but should not be applied to flowering plants. Eg Cyperforce/Deltaforce/Laraforce/Laraforce Gold Horticultural Oils are an effective knockdown for use in-season and for controlling overwintering or dormant life stages. Eg include Essential oils like Oregano Oil. Insecticide like furadan when applied to non flowering plants before the age of 2 weeks is known to control whitefly population. |

emmaachile2: Following bros. Never knew you are still in veggie production as you disposed all your seeds at give away price here couple of years. I will be more interested in the use of beneficial fungi to fight pests. Furadan is banned and no longer common in the market, even the a.i in wormforce has been secretly replaced by Jubaili. |
Re: My Agric Farm Diary (cucumber, Tomato, Pepper, Etc) by emmaachile2(m): 1:48am On Dec 16 |
Mickolad:If you have access to water close by, it would. You need a water pump, pipes and 1 drip tape Mrdellychy:. Furadan and Oxamyl are almost same thing but Oxamyl is a new class of nematicide than furadan but furadan seem more toxic to humans but both dispel whiteflies for 14 days. The beneficial fungi is sold at agricare, Ibadan. See the link https://www.agricareplus.com/product/mebotrix/ |

emmaachile2: Premium |
Re: My Agric Farm Diary (cucumber, Tomato, Pepper, Etc) by emmaachile2(m): 6:13pm On Dec 18 |
lereinter:With it, you don't have the need for fungicides, nematicides and pesticides. Those with bacterial wilt issues is also solved especially with tomato owners. But you have to feed well to have immunity and also have good agronomic practice like proper plant spacing, right soil pH and timely applications of nutrients at the right time. |
Re: My Agric Farm Diary (cucumber, Tomato, Pepper, Etc) by lereinter(m): 7:29pm On Dec 18 |
emmaachile2: You vouch for the strong reliability against disease and insect pest especially in tomato 🍅 agricare products are high premium |
Re: My Agric Farm Diary (cucumber, Tomato, Pepper, Etc) by emmaachile2(m): 1:19am On Dec 19 |
lereinter:Very premium but I don't normally recommend to our people here except I use it myself or those with better understanding. Those ones with problems will always ascribe their farm issues to owns recomendation! So one has to be careful. I have raised a the farm without using any conventional fungicide before and the growth was 100%. Infact some of these beneficial microbes convert atmospheric nitrogen to plant available nitrogen in the soil! For example,.someone feeds his tomato npk+urea which is 100% wrong at any stage and his plants suffer from nutrient deficiency will have issues on the farm. How does this product work for the person with that kind of farm? Farming is now precision and that's why someone will get 300 bags from 1000 plants and another will be happy with the normal 40 bags from same plants! |

emmaachile2: I like to hear why you made this comment For example,.someone feeds his tomato npk+urea which is 100% wrong at any stage |
Re: My Agric Farm Diary (cucumber, Tomato, Pepper, Etc) by emmaachile2(m): 8:51am On Dec 19 |
DrDoc:Fruit Vegetables don't use urea or very little. Imagine someone using urea and 20-10-10. What formation is that? Tomato only use npk ratio 1-1-1 or 1-2-1 or 2-3-1 and then 2-1-3, 2-1-4 later stages. Urea and 20-10-10 will result to something like a 5:1:1 ratio or even 3:1:1 ratio which may only be appropriate for cereals. |
