I don't think the government can do anything. The government has abandoned its citizens long again. We will keep experiencing bullshits in this country, until we the citizens step up. As long as we have not acted, bullshits wil continue being a daily routine in this country.

Lady Shares How a Beans Seller Advised Her to Use Chemicals to Preserve Beans.

A Nigerian lady has raised health concerns after a conversation with a beans seller who suggested using certain chemicals to preserve beans. She explained that she had complained to the seller about finding weevils in the beans she had previously purchased from another vendor. In response, the seller quickly brought out a chemical, claiming it was what they used to keep their beans looking fresh and free of weevils until they were completely sold.

The lady noted that the chemical had an overpoweringly harsh smell, which she found unbearable. She expressed her fears about how Nigerians might unknowingly be consuming foods laced with harmful chemicals, potentially contributing to the rise in health issues across the country.

So you're finding and buying beans without weevils and you don't know it's chemical you're eating. SMH.

No wonder anytime I eat beans of any kind, it must purge me the next morning. Even after rinsing, parboiled and rinsing many times again. It must purge. Now I know why🤔🤔

Had to quit eating beans because of this, because it happens every single time..🤔🤔
If you soak and parboil beans, that should reduce the chemical to safe levels. If you're farting or purging from eating beans, you're probably eating cold beans. Always serve your beans HOT.

Most businesses do not follow the PPP (People, Planet, Profit) sustainability policy. Majority of them are focused on profit alone while endangering the people and the planet (environment).
Even pharmaceutical companies don turn drug dealers with less focus on the side effects of the drugs they manufacture.
“Ice water tutu re” wey we dey buy drink for school before pure water came to existence was even more pure. GMO nko?
Money is rooted in the evils of the world.

Soak beans in food grade (3-5%) hydrogen peroxide for 5 minutes. Then wash it off. It should neutralize any chemical in your beans. I said food grade ooo! If you use anything stronger than that na trouble you dey find.

And I don't eat those mangoes that are as big as coconuts.

Just throw the weevil infested beans into the freezer for a day . Bring the beans out and pick it for eating. The weevils would be dead from from the icy cold of the freezer. Cheers.

U will need to ask a chemical or pesticides expert for the potential harm it can cause cos most pesticides smell just as bad and are used in preservation processes.

This is how some healthy individuals end up with cancer or kidney failure. Many assume it's due to drinking or smoking, but in reality, it's often the result of consuming food that has been poisoned by sellers in the name of preservation.

Everything in Nigeria wants to KILL you!

You're thirsty, they'd sell you bottled DYSENTRY as water.

Feeling funky and in a mood to celebrate, they'd sell you FAKE wine made with GUTTER water.

Feeling hungry, they'd sell you fish preserved with FORMALDEHYDE and beans dripping with strange CHEMICALS.

After all these and you fall sick, they'd still meet you at the pharmacy with FAKE drugs.

Nigerians are being slowly SLAUGHTERED with every sip of water or wine.

NOTHING is safe!

NAFDAC and SON need to do more.

It's NOT enough to destroy the fake products, EFCC also needs to prosecute the "businessmen" bankrolling these operations.

Buy beans with weevils for safety and store in the freezer. They can't survive the coldness.

We use to have bugs in our beans after some time in storage not anymore, because they use chemicals to preserve them now.
Watin insects dey avoid na we dey consume now.

This is carbide and very dangerous if any portion of it gets into the beans and eaten.

This is an old practice and applies to all grains. However, the chemical is used for those who intend to store the beans for at least 3 months before selling or consuming. Regardless of its purpose, it is far from being safe. Lets be vigilant out there.

Chemical they have been using for ages. Anyway, is very common in Lagos and i haven't heard about any ugly incidence of the consumption on people because of the chemical effect.

What's the name of the chemical?
Re: Lady Raises Alarm Over Chemical Use In Beans Preservation (photos/video) by DeGLORIOUS: 5:09am
If you must escape this, don't eat grains or you should produce it yourself. Most grains are difficult to preserve especially beans. Weevils and beans are like 5&6. The effect of those chemicals expire with time and weevils will still find their way into the beans. The major problem is that the sellers don't have the patience to wait for the chemical to expire before selling them

Lol every year they keep raising alarms over chemicals used in preserving beans, Nigerians are already used to dirtiness and use of deadly chemicals in their diets, so nothing new.

The main question is "after raising the alarm, what happened next"
Even on this thread, people and the OP , nobody is trying to identify the alleged chemical, and what are the allowed methods of preserving grains in Nigeria.

Is it better to be fasting everyday to avoid eating poisoned foods or fruits?

The world is sinking, we seriously need help.

We can only stand on this scripture: Mark 16:18.....and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them,....,..
