Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State has appointed Alhaji Aminu Hammayo as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG).

Hammayo, who currently serves as the Commissioner for Budget, Economic Planning, and Multilateral Coordination, previously held the same position (SSG) under former Governor Malam Isa Yuguda. He replaces Barrister Kashim Ibrahim, who recently resigned under controversial circumstances.

The governor also named Alhaji Hashimu Yakubu Kumbala, the Special Adviser on Special Duties, as his new Principal Private Secretary (PPS).

Kumbala takes over from Pharmacist Samaila Adamu Burga, who was recently elected Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State.

A statement from Mukhtar Gidado, the governor's Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, described the appointments as part of the governor’s commitment to effective governance and inclusive leadership.
