i also farmed beans in south east nigeria. sampea 20t but insect pests dealt with the beans especially pod sucker. i kept on applying insecticides almost every week till i was fed up and left the farm at the mercy of those vermins. i did not get an optimal harvest.

Always store in a dry big water cans. Like those 25 litters. Ensure it is airtight. Your beans will be insect free for as long as u want

When is the best time to plant beans in Nigeria? Which month of the year? Especially in Southern Nigeria. Thanks.

Rain is much in the South. However, when I was a Child, we were based in Ilorin and my Father used to farm White and brown Beans every year and it produce well. I can't tell the month he start the farm, cause I was very small and naive then.

Here in the North, we start planting White and brown Beans from the end of July and August. The idea is to farm beans towards the end of raining season. This is because, when beans start producing flowers that turn to beans, it doesn't want rain from that period till when it produce beans.

Let me teach you how best to cook beans. Wash your beans, put it on the fire. Allow to cook till the water is almost finished. Slice some balls of onions and pour them inside the beans. Onions go well with beans. The more onions you add, the sweeter your beans become. And also, Onions make Beans to done and become very soft.

Add water and allow to boil again till your beans become soft. At this stage you can add any ingredient that you wish

i applied more than 10 times yet the insects keep breeding and multiplying
