Absolutely not true. Till today Einstein is synonymous with genius everywhere. Hawking too to a lesser extent. And of course one of the world's most relevant entities is named after Tesla.

Their work is still relevant to modern science and technological development and will likely be for centuries.

And even when the world has moved beyond that level, they will still always be remembered, just as Sir Isaac Newton, Galileo, Socrates, Aristotle, Plato, and other great thinkers.
