But Nigerians are such a special breed sha grin. When we are at the receiving end, then we suddenly remember there is rule of law and existence of constitution. When the CBN through ex CBN Governor was trampling upon Nigerians in the name of new notes creation and cashless policy, they never remembered there was rule of law and constitution protecting the rights of Nigerians...

Cardaso should be sacked for his useless policies and under his watch Naira becomes the most useless currency in Africa
go an learn crypto or forex. So you will understand how currency floating works. Why do you think Gadaffi wanted currency to be backed by resources?

Naira is floating on its own is better. So everyone need to work collectively to strengthen.

Almost all of them got in without following any recognized procedure. If they are sacked without following any recognised procedure, nothing is wrong. Government should ask their lawyers how they got in to start with.

I guess you still want more dollar subsidy?

If you think the CBN is not subsidizing the dollar as of now, then there's very little hope left for you in this world.

Collect the money and become useful to yourselves.

For those still in their 40's go and invest the money and live a better life thereafter.

80million invested @23% is #18.4million.

18million divided by 12months is #1,533,000.

That is a good salary rather than working to retire at old age.

They were mainly employed by the buhari-led administration. It's a padi padi government. Tinubu came and filled those positions with his allies and their children, nothing new. When another government gets there tomorrow, they will definitely do the same.

The emboldened is a clear proof that all of you supporting this government are illiterate as I have always maintained. Spending just 2 minutes of your time to read the news post before jumping in to drop your comment won't kill you

Dismissed Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) staff are suing the bank for N30 billion in compensation following mass layoffs in 2024. The lawsuit alleges the terminations violated Nigerian labor laws and the staff's constitutional rights, citing a lack of proper consultation and fair hearing. The plaintiffs claim the CBN's restructuring justification was arbitrary and illegal. The court has urged both parties to seek an amicable resolution, but a preliminary objection by the CBN has led to a January 2025 hearing. The case highlights a dispute over the legality and fairness of the CBN's mass redundancy process

I know it hurts to be laid off but CBN like many MDA are overstaffed or with many staff not ready to work. Let EFCC probe those suing. Let CBN pay them their entitlements without delay.

People that are supposed to be jailed in this country will have the effontry to come out and still be shouting and causing unnecessary disturbance in this country. By the grace of God all the people that ruined this country to this extent will not go Scott free their generations will reap the fruits of the wickedness of their fathers and mothers.

So you're just living large on loans without planning for a day like this. When your loans now wiped away your entitlements you started shouting. Majority of whom were employed through backdoors. Pls find something else to do, cos this people wey una dey sue so no go answer you and Dem fo still dey around for some years..
Re: Mass Layoff: Disengaged Staff Members Sue CBN, Demand N30bn Compensation by Lanruze: 9:52pm On Jan 06
Your comment is very sensible and real.

Within Government circles and in Tinubu's kitchen Cabinet, The CBN Governor is described as the most incorruptible and resourceful when executing his briefs.

The truth is that most of the current crop of the CBN employees are unproductive whilst turning to a dumping ground for cronies and family members of the political elite and rent seekers.

The re-organisation is spot -on. The affected employees can survive with their terminal benefits and gratuity.
