Chelle became a viral meme during the 2023 African Cup of Nations after his astonishing reaction to Mali conceding a late winner to Ivory Coast in the quarter-finals.

They navigated the group stage of the competition admirably and dispatched an impressive Burkina Faso side 2-1 in the Round of 16.

They faced the eventual winners, Ivory Coast, in the quarter-finals and looked set to run away victors in the stiffly contested clash, thanks to Dorgeles Nene's strike in the 71st minute of the match.

Last year, he led Mali to beat Nigeria for the first time in 50 years. He becomes the first African outside Nigeria to handle Nigeria’s lead football brand, the Super Eagles.

At the AFCON he also wiped South Africa 2-0 at the group stage

He seem to know something different....

I am rarely pessimistic, but I can assure you that he is primed to fail.

When choices are made in this regard, NFF should have taken into consideration; previous coaches' difficulty in managing the numerous egos in the Nigerian dressing room. Also, experience in navigating African teams.

There are lots of club-side coaches with great playing styles that I expected NFF to favor such as Pitso Mosimane.

We should be seeing things like, his style of play, philosophy and technicalities and not how many wives and kids he has.

No 10: He will share his salary 50:50. NFF will take one part in the corrupt agreement.

I pity Ademola Lukeman and other super eagles player that want to give their all for the team. NFF is their stumbling block.

He is a good coach and he know he will use Nigeria to increase his profile, so he will not fail. Kudos to the NFF, for this great selection and I know the money/ salary will be share between him and NFF.

Wishing him all the best.. But on a more serious note, we don suppose pass this level. The best of the best is what the NFF should be going for but here we are still employing average coaches because corruption has really eaten deep into the system

Like i stated earlier, I wish him all the best
