New spots like SilenciobySujimoto kept Ikoyi thriving, despite its exclusive, arrogance, members-only nature, attracting Lagos big boys and sophisticated ladies, DJs and Entertainers flew in from different parts of the world making entry nearly impossible. • Event Centres: 100 event centers earned a combined N1.2 billion ($804k) from 1,175 bookings in December. Eko Hotel & Suites led in revenue, with The Monarch Centre following closely behind. In fact, the entire population of Nigeria seemed to have relocated to Lagos for December social activities, causing a 15% increase in the city’s population! 🚗 Car Rentals: N1.5 billion ($937.5k) from 750 high-end car rentals, with daily rates hitting N2 million! Other recreational activities generated an estimated N20 billion ($13 million), with the top 6 categories being Artiste Bookings, Food & Drinks, DJs and sound equipment, Dancers, waitresses, and even bouncers—who typically earn 200k monthly but were taking home over 500k.
