Who else thinks that Wale Edun's response shows he's trying to hide the truth in a heap of gibberish? Responding, Mr Edun requested that the senators should discuss the questions privately “Are we in a closed door session? If we are not in a closed door session , I will humbly seek for that for detailed explanations on the questions asked,” the minister pleaded.Doesn't make sense at all. 36 Likes |

The senator asked very reasonable questions which I believe most citizens would like to know the answers to, but look at the Minister requesting for them to discuss the questions in private. Can you just imagine? What are they hiding? Is the finance of a country not something that should be public knowledge? If the finance Minister is there and the minister for budget is also present, why can't they just provide answers to those questions on camera and let every member of the public have an idea of how the government has spent the money saved from the so called subsidy removal? How can u be running the finance of a country as big as Nigeria without transparency? 40 Likes 2 Shares |

Same question any sensible person has been asking.... Obasanjo did well in office cos the senate had to checkmate him.... since buharis second tenure , they have deliberately put stooges as senate president to do their bidding.... when sakari was senate president, he dint allow buhari ride the country... as he was rigged out in 2019 , checkout our economy since they started having stooges as senate president 15 Likes 1 Share |

Oga Finance minister, the senator asked valid questions that demands answers. Why are you asking for a closed door session? Mr. President made an announcement publicly on this subsidy issue, now that it's time to account for money saved from it, you're asking for a closed door session 6 Likes |

I don’t understand what people mean by subsidy savings A 2025 Appropriation Budget has been prepared and there’s no provision whatsoever for subsidy The budget has gone up and what could have gone into subsidy went into capital expenditure 44 Likes |

Racoon: Senator Ningi’s grilling of the government’s economic team might seem like he’s standing up for accountability, but let’s be real—it’s hard to trust any politician. If he were getting "juicy kickbacks" or aligned with the ruling party, would he still ask these tough questions? Always question their motives, no matter which party they belong to. |
