Just cut ur expense....500k is not small money in naija ....just that our leaders are heartless making some expense too high

No generator every night ...u won't die

If u have kids....DStv subscriptions should be during holidays....they wont die.....

If u have a car that u use daily to work that gulps like 10litres per day ....that's roughly 10-11k per day and 220k per month minus Saturday and Sunday outing and servicing cost....Use public transport ..u won't die...

Buy satchet water instead of bottle...or check if ur tap water is drinkable...a friend told me he started taking his tap water when he calculated and found his cost on water was 80k month...
That fuel aspect can easily be tackle sef! Let him pick passengers going and coming , that old sort that out

In Nigeria today, it puts you well within the poverty bracket particularly if you have dependents apart from yourself. undecided
Are you in Nigeria and do you really think someone who is struggling to live within N650k monthly will be any better earning N6.5m monthly? Smh.

Madam, N650k monthly is still high in Nigeria.

you are really wise.

But some men are so pompous and foolish that they will rather die to be seen in a public bus. Or they will rather die for their neighbours to see them buying bag of pure water.
I have seen fools like that in lagos. You wouldn't be surprised he takes Uber to work join

Even if you have 2 kids and a wife and you earn 650k in this economy. If you can not save a minimum of 2m in one year. Then, there's something wrong somewhere! You need to sit down and really search yourself.

The state of things in Nigeria nowadays is enough to learn how to manage resources.

One guy up there already said it all. If you have kids, recharge DStv only on holidays. You see this family outing stuff, make it only once a month and minimize your spending on such occasions.

If you have a car and you work on the island for instance, park your car and take public transport (if staff bus is not available).

Stock your home with foodstuffs monthly and eat from home, at least your dinner (That's if your wife can not prepare your food before you leave home in the morning), that reduces your food expenses.

Your rent must be something you can afford, and not something to show off. With 650k monthly, I don't expect you to live in a house which rent is more than 400k annually (that is if you don't want to forever make money for your landlord. Remember he will always come at about three year interval for rent increase!

Be wise guy, this is Lagos!!!

Peace!

So, in your own Lagos you'll see a house of 400k PA?

and the living condition of that kinda place will be okay? or commutable to the kinda place that pays 650K?

The way some of you talk, I wonder if you've ever stepped on Lagos soil..

A Nigerian professor earns less than that after years of teaching, research, conference attendance and publications which are done at some costs bore by them. If they embark on strike over poor remuneration and welfare, you guys will still fail to see reasons with them.

Most of una go still condemn them and support government as usual.

I work for myself now not on a salary but its not about the amount of the salary now its about how u save, manage and maybe invest. U can earn 300k months are do better than the guy with 650k based on spending habits.

The 650k guy might get carried away thinking he's earning high but has to savings. 650k was considered high pay in 2010 not now. in my opinion.

Tre rest is for fueling and other miscellaneous or unforseen circumstances.

Plan well otherwise even if you earn a million, you will still not do anything with it.

even if its enough now, within just a few months it wont.
All african countries are run by the white man, who has ensured all African currencies are a form of theft by government from its citizens through massive inflation.

The rate at which the very racist colonial Nigerian government in printing money means naira is unreliable even destructive store of value, the rate they are printing money your 650k may not buy toilet roll in 6 months.

One way to protect your financial future is to avoid anything to do with naira as your source of income or savings.

If a fraudster created a currency to scam people it will have similar inflation rate to naira.
All the crypto scammers who got thrown in jail never did to thier victims what racist colonial government of Nigeria is doing to its citizens with naira.

So no, 650k is note safe for you , cause naira should not even be legal tender cause its a form of theft.

Having your income denominated in naira is to ensure you will keep descending into depths of poverty as the white man running Nigeria intended.

TRy to get an online or intentional remote work where you can be paid in white man currency , cause his own currency still holds better value than the one he wnats you using in Nigeria.

Find a job where they pay you in crypto, pounds dollars or gold, else you are in financial danger, cause naira is nothing but theft. Your 650K will be reduced in value to 10 kobo in no time.

When i was youth, the amount of niara people used to use to buy international long haul cross Atlantic plane ticket, is now what they use to buy lunch. A that rate single loaf of bread will be 650k.

Dont forget that every time the price f things go up, all that increase is money that went into the pocket of the goverment, cause its those who print the money that profit from inflation.

While your source of income remains in naira , better be practising how to cope with ever increasing levels of poverty as the white man running NiggerArea intended.

The oyinbo people controlling the value of naira dont plan for you to survive , and if you dare go start family with that money, they will take it as offence.

Flesh and blood did not reveal this to you.

Don't mind some people and their lifestyle, even me that I'm not married I make sure I cook and stock in fridge, for the past 2 years I have not eaten outside, there came a time road side food some worth irritates me so I stopped because I'm at work you don't expect me to be buying food at spar or blackbell, many times I do just coffee and biscuits in the morning at work and I continue my thing till lunch time cos they do give us lunch at work

Even at home weekends I don't bother there's food in fridge sometimes I wait till afternoon towards evening then I eat not just because of anything but I'm used to it, that's why when ever I have visitor I quickly say bro, babe there's food in fridge and fire just what you can eat oo.

If you're a single guy earning such amount monthly and still complaining, then you need deliverance cus your financial life is poor.

Well cut down your expenses since you're complaining. If you dy carry olosho 50k, reduce am to 5k.

I am a single guy and I make approximately the amount he quoted

I do not party
I am not fashionable
I do not womanize
I only goto work and come back
Send my mom her weekly upkeep and assist my fiancée

Yet I struggle to have a reasonable savings by end of the year

So what will you say about that?
