Besides, parenting doesn’t ascribe to any particular generation. It is a shared responsibility between father and mother to nurture their children to be well behaved from childhood. One big problem Gen Z have is their quest to make big money without investing the time and patience required to learn and go through the process. That's where Gen X who are their parents failed

And seeing the fact that many of these Gen Z are already single mothers and fathers makes me wonder what we will see in the next 15yrs

I think experienced drivers on UBer/Bolt section on Nairaland should give more advice to newer drivers. That trip had several red flags
1. Late hour ride in the middle of the night
2. Four male passengers (even at any police checkpoint during the ride, police will conduct a thorough search of the car and riders)
3 Destination Obalende ( Alagbole, mushin,oshodi,ikorodu and several places are no go areas at night for ridesharing)
4. Corolla vehicle ( high theft rate and resale value)

The report says 2 of the suspects were caught at the scene and handed over to police. You did not see that abi?

Maintain this energy when one of your relatives is brutally murdered like this and the suspects are apprehended at the scene.

They have killed an innocent hustling man who's trying to cater for his family.

U'll now take them to prison, their family will engage a lawyer and even get advice from police on how to soften the case.

Maybe the deceased doesn't have people capable of matching the naira rain from the accused family, the murderers will be freed after some years.

The man has died in vain, no thanks to failed parentage.

This is so sad.

It's crazy that I had a short dream this morning that I was an Uber driver that drove some people to a house, and they were trying to make me drive my car into a compound at night. They said they didn't want their neighbors to see their load, but they looked suspicious. I said no, and they started getting aggressive. That's when I woke up... and then I saw this story on Nairaland.

Uber and bolt drivers should be smart enough not to pick more than one passenger at off peak period to avoid such stories and the passenger nust sit in the front seat. Don't risk your life chasing money.

Those guys should get the capital punishment.

When I became an adult and started taking care of my teenage nephew and nieces was when I really respected my parents. The teenage years is the most difficult age range when raising kids... both for boys and girls.

I met a kid at a secondary school inside a restricted university, his parents sent to naija, understand he was turning to a bad boy, na so them package am to naija. Even holidays when my ward will come home, that boy will remain in school. Note that this was a boy born and breed in the UK talking like oyinbo. Guess what that boy is now in final year of the University proper, a clean cut kid, well streightened out.
As you rightly said 21 age might be too late, maybe his parents should have acted earlier when they saw the signs.

Boarding school is the sure bet for parents who are having issues, raising their children home or abroad.
Some don't even allow their children do secondary education abroad, I remembered a school called Apostolic faith secondary school way back, 75% of the students in the hostels are from Europe.
Parenting abroad is not easy o, children are exposed to a lot of bad influences, especially in that America.
