Where Will I Stay Now? 😭

It was such a sudden notice—we had to move out of our apartment. Now, I don’t even know where to stay for the time being until I can settle down.

All my female friends are already filled up and can’t take another roommate, not even for a short while.

I was explaining all this to my friend, Ola, when he suddenly said, “Come and stay at my place now.”

Jokingly, I replied, “Dey play.”

But then he said, “It’s not as if you haven’t slept over before.”

True, I had. But this was different. “This time, I’ll be staying for a whole week, if not more. Will you even be comfortable with that?” I asked.

He just laughed and said, “Will I?”

“Alright o,” I agreed. Stupid of me, right?

Ola had been my friend since 100-level days.

Three days passed—just two friends staying and playing together. I was starting to feel very comfortable. We attended the same fellowship and did almost everything together.

Then came that night.

As usual, we were gisting and laughing, and then out of nowhere, he said, “Take your hand off my chest o!”

“Why?” I replied, laughing.

This wasn’t the first time my hand was on his chest while we talked, so I refused. Playfully, we started rolling on the bed, laughing like kids.

The next thing I knew, he was on top of me, our eyes locked together. My heart started pounding. Sincerely, I wanted him to. I just wanted him to make a move.

His face got closer to mine. My heart kept racing. Slowly, I began closing my eyes.

...

Until his voice jolted me back to reality.

“What’s wrong with this one?” he said, laughing. 😏

I was shocked at myself. Me? Expecting something else? I thought he’d be the silly one.

After that, I moved away because it hit me: it’s not just about the guy making the move. As the girl, I could also want it. The lesson? Don’t even create the environment that could lead to it.

Till today, Ola still teases me about this experience. 😭😂😂

But honestly, why was he such a tease though?
