Ideally, it shouldn't be. But several women would get jittery of their own accord when they get past a certain age. Either they start feeling less attractive or older. Moreover, there is another class of women who specialize in making life unbearable for their unmarried counterparts past a certain age. In all, in their own group, there is enough wrangling going on to warrant a check. Women are simply their own worst enemies!

It shouldn't be a big deal. No one's age should be a big deal as it's hypocritical. When couples with great age gaps have unsuccessful relationships, hindsight bias is in full force. "He's too young for her. I knew they wouldn't last". That's never the case with couples with "convenient" or "correct" age gaps. The "age" card is played when it's convenient. Simple.

I, personally, believe that their is little correlation between age and maturity/personality once adulthood is reached anyway.

exactly, hence my resurrection of old threads however i usually get called out for it.

Age should is an issue but should not be an obstacle in any relationship. Firstly in the long run it is assumed that women age faster than men, and in old age the need for the man to be taken care off by his wife can make a guy marry a much younger lady. It doesn't really matter but it should be considered as it affects the individuals involved, MERRY XMAS

Women age faster but outlive men. So, unless one wants a younger looking wife, that argument is void.

It is a personal thing some thing it does some think it does not. It's an individual case

Age is a barrier as long as i'm concerned coz i'll neva date a gurl that's 2yrs older than i am, a yr is even much 4 me,but can b managed.I've discarded 2 relationships just because she's older than i am , 'age can b a barrier'
