We can simply have 5 official national languages. Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Edo, and English.

There is no reason to limit ourselves to just the English language.

In Ghana, in addition to English, there are other languages that have official status in specific regions of the country, such as the Asante Twi and Akuapem Twi languages in the Ashanti region.

So why must only English be the official language in Nigeria?

No sensible country relegates their own languages to be speaking European nonsense alone.

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has urged northern governors to reconsider the region’s education system by adopting Hausa as the primary language of instruction in schools.

According to the governor, English should be taught only as a subject rather than being the medium of instruction in primary and secondary education across the North.

He stated: “Adopting Hausa as the language of instruction in northern schools could significantly enhance the learning experience, promote enrolment, and foster a deeper understanding of subjects among pupils and students.”

However, this proposal has sparked widespread concern among Nigerians from other regions. Many worry that such a move could negatively affect youth corps members who are posted to northern states for their mandatory one-year service under the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

Moreover, there has been a flurry of reactions across social media platforms. One Facebook comment by "Andrew Beza" particularly stood out, and I quote:

“And to One Nigeria, does this make sense? Abi, na another way of superimposing Hausa language on One Nigeria or making it a compulsory language for everyone? Think well, because you can’t come to southern Nigeria to speak Hausa to our children. Take note of that. Your NYSC graduates can only serve in northern Nigeria. Kpomqwem.”

The country will never divide, not at any future time even. So many had wished before the independence that the country never existed, yet it does. With the successful adoption of Hausa as the language of learning, the northerners would have positioned themselves to take more grips of the country while it would be too late for the reactionaries like the ipobpigians. That is where my suggestion is pointed to.
