pls how does it make sense removing fuel subsidy which kept general price levels low with the excuse that it is not sustainable and then start sharing money?

how is sharing money sustainable and how will it alleviate poverty?

On one hand, they insult those who point out the worsening socioeconomic conditions and they say things are improving.

But on the other hand, they keep budgeting billions of naira for pallatives and cash distribution to the poor...

A government that wants to transfer 75k to 70 million Nigerians but cannot pay corps members the minimum wage. Being politically conscious in Nigeria is a huge burden.

It is owing federal workers especially tertiary institutions, various arrears stretching to almost 2 years.

Can Nigeria boast of a robust social welfare database? Or is this money, which by the way, is lunch money for a particular class of people, going to go the way of other intervention funds with no record of who got what, when, and where?
