Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 12:54am On May 30, 2019 |
birdman:Lmaooo can they get a deal with the Lakers? This is why I said Daryl Morey is grossly overrated I'm thinking that apart from them, the Bulls, Heat and maybe Charlotte if they can't pay Walker (which would be stupid if Chris Paul was their alternative) I don't know who else would be willing to take his contract If I were a GM for any of those teams I'm demanding 3 first rounders at least for that millstone of a salary because CP3 will drastically get worse as most players in their mid-30's get. They fell for the if CP3 was healthy narrative forgetting this ninja is never healthy 1 Like |

A40: Bros it happens to the best. An excellent night of clubbing and debauchery! Then you wake up the next morning and SEE what you brought home last night. Then you jump in the shower, praying with bitter tears and hoping to scrub away the memory. Morey will bouce back |

KarnThornheart:I find their antics a bit bizarre. AJ has the least to lose because he can fight a cabman in England and put 70k in Wembley. Guy like Wilder doesn't have that luxury so why is he tying himself to these nonsense fights no one wants to see? I heard he has Kownacki lined up next. FFS!! Fury said Showtime did 320k for their fight in the US. I would be suprised if Wilder and Ortiz 2 does 200k They need AJ than AJ needs them KarnThornheart:Lool probably money is low because I don't see why he came back. Rarely do lengthy layoffs end well like we saw with Velasquez I doubt Bones ever moves to Heavyweight. The risk/reward is too disproportionate. One well-timed blow can undo everything. I think age will tell on DC. Miocic probably took him for granted that first fight. I like Stipe (provided he stayed in shape during his layoff) |
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 2:10am On May 30, 2019 |
A40: There's a reason AJ and fury are trying to build themselves in the US. Selling out stadiums is cool and all but PPV is where the real money is at. That's why I reckon Haymon thinks Wilder the American can be built into a mega star. I admire Haymon as a promoter/manager and you won't find anyone in boxing better at this than him I mean imagine a Mexican boxer naming his son after him. Suffice it to say I admire him. I'm sure he realises that at some point he has to win a super fight to get to that level like Mayweather did against de la Hoya since he helped put that together. I know it'll eventually happen, all they're doing is to build him up to earn more. Remember they first offered him 10m, then 15m and he just turned down a 100m deal so it's working. 200k isn't too bad I guess. Hearn already said a long time ago it was breazeale Ortiz kownacki so his sources were right. I'm cool with the bout happening early 2020 but it may be wilder fury not wilder Joshua seeing as the first two like each other a lot more. Of course all this depends on Fury's ESPN deal. Joint broadcasts are always possible too. I just hope Wilders "mamba mentality" doesn't get him stunned. All this grand plan will go to waste. Ortiz is no joke even at 60 and kownacki is not a can either. Yes there's rematch clauses but that'll just push the schedule for the real fights. Jon is a weird lad to put it mildly but he's certainly not stupid. He always talks about how heavyweights take too much damage but this year he said he has about 3 fights left at LHW. The only threat to him at HW bar DC was sea level Cain and that guy isn't coming back. So he may just be waiting for DC to retire or holding out for a pay day. As for Cain I think injuries did him more than the layoff. It's hard for me to see DC lose to Stipe even at 40, like dad bod said, "there's levels to this sh.it" and Jones and DC are on another planet compared to these guys. |

Serious question here. Why is it that every re.tarded lakers fan looks like this? If it's not a Chicano or a sand nigger it's a curry munching sprag called Ranjit. I hate this franchise and I hate their fans.

Looking at Melos career it kind of justifies some of the desperate moves players make for rings. Even makes me empathize with the serpent a little. Melo is one of the greatest scorers the game has ever seen but he's been turned into a joke and a meme. I can't help but think if he had at least one ring people won't disrespect him like this. Imagine if LeBron hasn't won a ring at this stage of his career? Damn! But I guess it's better to live through the sort of criticism the serpent is going through than end up like melo. The NBA is really cruel. 2 Likes |

CuteRedd: What did I do now? Seriously, you people really need to lighten up a little. Always looking for reasons to villainize poor innocent Karn. |
Re: The NBA Begins by aliondo: 6:55pm On May 30, 2019 |
KarnThornheart: You gotta give Melo some props...Arguably the best thing to happen to the Knicks....He got me upset tho when we suggested he comes off the bench cos of his dwindling performances and he strongly refused...I don't think he's that bad tho just that the NBA has moved on from his strong point which is iso ball play... |
Re: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 7:10pm On May 30, 2019 |
aliondo: His inability to evolve with the times is his greatest weakness |
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 8:14pm On May 30, 2019 |
aliondo: Khanben: There are still a lot of iso players thriving in the league. Some of the best players in the league are iso players. Plus he was adapting and playing well with the rockets before he was made into a scape goat. Now he's been ostracized by the NBA. Not fair at all. |
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 8:15pm On May 30, 2019 |
A lot of people are going to cry if KD stays with the Warriors. Myself included. |
Re: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 9:35pm On May 30, 2019 |
KarnThornheart: Evolving with the times is not necessarily about iso ball. He should have fully embraced a bench role (6th or 7th man). He is definitely no longer a starter in a contender, and if he wants to play for one he has to understand that. |
Re: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 9:38pm On May 30, 2019 |
KarnThornheart: Players will have to not only team up but take pay cuts to ensure the talent to compete with them. Cause without other super teams GSW will continue their domination for at least 3 more years |
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 9:42pm On May 30, 2019 |
Khanben: Yeah he did that in Houston. Still got axed. |
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 11:48pm On May 30, 2019 |
Melo's stint at OKC was the Coup de grace. And the fact that he had zero interest in playing defense even with his size just kills everything. He should just go to China and be a King there like Stephon Marbury did |
