Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 10:03pm On Mar 26, 2016 |
Donlittle:Ban kini? he understands his best players are not young anymore and there are no rules with regards to resting players. |
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 11:50pm On Mar 26, 2016 |
Mizzzbeee:30 points from first quarter to third. 4th quarter took just two shots, missed both. Smh Spurs literally have no choice but to rest ninjas West Parker Ginobili Andre Miller Duncan Too many old men for that team |
Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 4:02am On Mar 27, 2016 |
This years college basketball tournament is by far one of the most intense i have followed in a very long time. Villanova 64 vs Kansas 59. what a game.. my goodness. Ochefu, Hart, Archidiachano, Jerkins and coach Jay Wright these guys were tough all night. My pal who is a Villanova grad is going Kra-kra over here. The final four is next. |
Re: The NBA Begins by Mynd44: 6:15am On Mar 27, 2016 |
Donlittle:They have been listed as injured already |
Re: The NBA Begins by Mynd44: 6:16am On Mar 27, 2016 |
Roland17:There are rules against resting fit players |
Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 6:27am On Mar 27, 2016 |
My bracket is looking awesome..and i am atop the leader board for my group..
|
Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 6:37am On Mar 27, 2016 |
Mynd44: Sorry to burst your bubbles there is absolutely no NBA official rule that is against resting fit players. You only have to inform the NBA, your opponents and the media of the players you are resting days before the game. The league fined the spurs $250,000 for failing to inform the league about resting key players for a nationally televised game against the Heats when Popovic sent Manu, Tony Parker and Duncan back home. Since that fine, Popovic already has a schedule for his players every year and he send it in to the league, opponents and media days before the game irrespective of who they are playing that way he has avoided the fines. So no there are no rules against resting fit players. |
Re: The NBA Begins by Killrhymz: 6:42am On Mar 27, 2016 |
really surprised, how did NOVA knocked out top seeded KANSAS? Buddy heild is still my national player of the year tho. |
Re: The NBA Begins by Mynd44: 6:56am On Mar 27, 2016 |
Roland17: And the bolded are not rules against resting fit players? Okay, maybe you prefer the term "conditions" instead |
Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 7:02am On Mar 27, 2016 |
Mynd44: Bro Really? On the official NBA rule book, there is no official rule regarding resting fit players, infact there is no history of it being part of the collection bargaining between players, coaches and the league thus it can not be considered an NBA rule. David Stern felt embarrassed after Popovic did what he did during a nationally televised game, he was pressured to fine Popovic but he came under intense heat afterwards because he did not do anything outside the rule book. |
Re: The NBA Begins by Mynd44: 7:18am On Mar 27, 2016 |
Roland17: But coach Pop was fined right? |
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 7:37am On Mar 27, 2016 |
Roland17:When i said ban pop, i did not mean it literally. i was trying to refer to this game actually. David Stern really fines pop that huge sum because he was embarrassed. I am waiting for what Adam Silver will do if pop keeps resting his players, because pop is just pop. He is still going to rest a lot of those guys lol. I do not think the spurs organization mind about paying pop fines, if he does gets fined lol. Man is a god basically in that organization and city. I really can not wait for the western conference playoffs games to start. I am still trying to think of a team that can challenge the cavs in the east. Lebrons just always seems to be able to carry a team on his back to the finals everytime. If i am to choose teams to stop lebron, it would be toronto and the pacers. I love the celtics but that no playoff experience thingy men, and maybe the bulls might be able to pull an upset, but those guys are not lucky with all these injuries. |
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 7:38am On Mar 27, 2016 |
Mizzzbeee:Remember when stern was the commissioner and he fined poppovich for resting key players on a televised TV game? I am wondering what silver will if he finds out. |
Re: The NBA Begins by Mizzzbeee(f): 8:14am On Mar 27, 2016 |
Donlittle:I heard it was because he ddn't inform the league quite early. I don't think there is anything wrong in resting players... I see the nba and fans views tho, spurs vs okc game was like Austin d league basketball Vs okc... Waste of tickets I must say It's just not fair but typical Pop doesn't give a damn 1 Like |
Re: The NBA Begins by SIRcumalot: 11:11am On Mar 27, 2016 |
Donlittle:don't sleep on Miami, that heat is full of veterans and some decent young guys.that is one team that should keep the king up at night. let see how well the Celtics recruit in the coming free agency if they can get cousin's without giving up too much players then they can challenge bron. me sef Don tire for this LeBron final every year. pop is doing what is best for the team but it sucks for neutrals like me as I check the squad this night I just save my money checked back in the 3rd quarter OKC up by 20,i just go sleep I can't be the only one. |
Re: The NBA Begins by xp17(m): 1:18am On Mar 28, 2016 |
Syracuse vs Virginia. Still surprised how Virginia lost when they were up by 16 in the second half. Syracuse to the final 4 |
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 11:31am On Mar 28, 2016 |
Donlittle:Funny the East has been arguably more balanced than the West this year some will even say better I guess teams in the East just freeze when they see LBJ. The Hawks were particularly embarrasing last year. The Pacers of old would have given the Cavs a tougher test maybe beat them sef. Thus far I think the Heat (told you guys Roland17 specifically that Joe Johnson would be a good pick up for any contender in the East) Hawks if they play with heart Stand the best shot vs the Cavs. The Raptors might be second but I can see a guy like DeRozan getting shut down if you clog the paint and lane leaving too much work for Lowry Those Bulls I am seeing cannot make playoffs barring a miracle of biblical proportions |
Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 1:53am On Mar 29, 2016 |
Skywalker5 Good luck! I guess 5-5 is not enuff. you woulda mopped the floor with my team anyhow |
Re: The NBA Begins by Skywalker5(m): 10:12am On Mar 29, 2016 |
birdman: Thanks. You really played well against josh.I was surprised you lost after a draw with him.i guess there is another criteria when there is a draw. Men,Lucious almost won that game.i was very busy last week but was sweating checking the scores. Now i have to take on Josh.i really need all the luck cuz the last time i played against him,it was a draw. |
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 6:46pm On Mar 29, 2016 |
Suprised the Mavs pulled a W last night, I thought they had packed it in for the year after that show of shame vs the Kings on Sunday night Cavs always into drama. Kyrie this time. I don't know why these guys can't be like my mentor Leo Di Caprio and just keep a harem of women instead of going steady |
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 10:15pm On Mar 29, 2016 |
A40:On this though, if to say we they the same place right now, i for buy you small stout and suya join. They are too young to be falling in love though. I do not even feel bad for all of them. I wonder if this is going to affect the way he balls till the year is over. Also hope, he does not accept her back. Anyways, na they sabi |
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 10:25pm On Mar 29, 2016 |
A40:I am hoping someone pulls an upset against the cavs really, although, i would not really call it an upset if it happens. With the all brouhaha going on at Cleveland, Someone ought to take them down, and it has to be now. What happened to chicago was just simple, they had an identity. An identity that was working, they were one or two years from a healthy Derrick Rose to being a legit contender in the Nba, not just the Eastern Conference. Its sad though, because i do not think they changed any players. It was almost the same players that played for tom, that is playing for fred. I hope he proves me wrong though, and achieve next year, if not this year. |
Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 1:13am On Mar 30, 2016 |
Skywalker5: i think regular season record is the tie-breaker. btw blake griffin just got activated - im guessing josh's points stats will be approaching 850+ per week now |
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 3:26am On Mar 30, 2016 |
who has been suprise by Nicolas Batum breakout? I won't really call it a breakout because he has always been that guy, but man, he is balling out this year. I have them on my radar come playoffs. |
Re: The NBA Begins by Mizzzbeee(f): 5:52am On Mar 30, 2016 |
Cavs lost to the Rockets Another great day Pistons grinds okc |
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 5:55am On Mar 30, 2016 |
Mizzzbeee:i am so mad, you do not even understand. F the cavs, i need the rockets to lose so dallas can make the playoffs. Smh, i knew firing David Blatt would backfire. Dude has lost as much games as david blatt lost. They might even go out in the first round with the way it is looking. |
Re: The NBA Begins by Mizzzbeee(f): 6:00am On Mar 30, 2016 |
Donlittle:I doubt Mavs would make the playoffs but let's see, it's still very close....There is fire on the mountain in Cleveland and am loving it... I don't knw which is much better LeFlop losing in the finals or going out in the first round |
Re: The NBA Begins by drinkmorewater: 6:00am On Mar 30, 2016 |
Na forget that!!! Htown baybay all the way But seriously tho rockets suck this year if they get 8th, the splash brothers gonna murder em! |
Re: The NBA Begins by drinkmorewater: 6:03am On Mar 30, 2016 |
Mizzzbeee: You know when Lebron is focused, He can be a BEAST, I expect him to take charge during the playoffs( as he always does), U know triple double and all that, his 3 point game tho has tanked this season now mostly driving in that's all he does! |
Re: The NBA Begins by Mizzzbeee(f): 6:10am On Mar 30, 2016 |
drinkmorewater:I done care if he is BEAUTY sef what I know is he will chalk up that L in the finals and lose out on his third ring that's if he makes it to the finals... |
Re: The NBA Begins by drinkmorewater: 6:19am On Mar 30, 2016 |
Mizzzbeee: LMAO! @Beauty But who are the real challengers to the east finals? Is it toronto NAH, Miami?! Boston?! Pacers?! Bulls?! Hawks?! Seriously who...? I think Cavs gon enter the championship finals but I don't think also they will W it I know for sure that a western team is going to win it and am gon place my all my side bets on San Antonio, GSW can't win it back to back that's way too hard, complacency will surely set in U support rockets? |
