Good to see Kawhi back in the playoffs.. What a player when he is healthy.

With a healthy PG and barring issued with Kawhi these clippers can go places. Damm

I was about to tell you that. Ja or no Ja, the Lakers played well, they calmed the grizz fast game. And Lebron played exceptionally well, man I mus enter gym tomorrow, no excuses. What he is doing right now, man, I would not believe it if I didnt see it. And a lot of the "post analysis" you are seeing here is jealousy the old man actually played a great game.

This series still belongs to the grizz, but I think overconfidence did them in in this game. When Lakers were still returning punch for punch with 4 minutes left in the game, Grizz became worried and started losing their composure. Otherwise this game should have been tight to the end.

Yea. When your role players win you a game like this, you can't get too confident, because it might not happen again. Rui won't go 5/6 from 3 again I can bet you that.

Yea Bron and AD played well, bar the TOs from Bron. And I liked the weak side blocks. But he wasn't aggressive offensively. I guess this is the mythical feel-out game that Bron always does. But AD man, he was huge on the defensive end. The only time JJJ saw chance was when AD was not in the game. JJJ ate Bron and Vando alive in the paint grin

Which narrative? Are you alright? How can this team even win without Ja Morant? I am not sure anyone would think twice about this Memphis Grizzlies without Ja.

I'm talking about who was the underdog at the start of the series with both teams healthy. We all agreed it was the Lakers, but because of agenda some people want to twist the narrative.

This series no go easy for Suns as people think am o. There's something about having a team that has been together for quite some time. And we were right to question the depth of the Suns. The Suns bench combined for 10 points in this game. I don't care how good your starting 5 is, that won't win you games.

But this is just game one sha. Make I no too over analyse. Teams will adjust. I expect the Suns to take game 2 or else it would be a very short series.
Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 9:10am On Apr 17, 2023
Man the amount of key injuries we've recorded so far is not good. Giannis, Ja and Herro all injured. AD had his own scare too. And it's just game 1.

He landed pretty hard there. I expect him to be back for game two, he is a tough guy. This season is the most I have seen him out, quite unusual.
Hopefully it was just an impact thing and not any structural injury
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 9:36am On Apr 17, 2023
Clippers need to beg Westbrook. He's doing a lot of things right but ruining it by taking too many shots. I don't know why some players don't put that ego aside and stick to what's needed for your team to win.

19 shots is too much for Westbrook to be taking at this stage of career
Re: The NBA Begins by Skrrrrrrr: 10:31am On Apr 17, 2023
BTW, kerr needs to increase stephs minutes.
The second unit cannot hold up, they were outscored by 14 points with steph sitting.
Close of the 3rd quarter and beginning of the 4th.
The dubs are not a great 4th quarter team, so trailing at the 4th isn't a great idea.

You don start ooo. You don start ooo. The Lakers were not the underdog. AD and Lebron cannot be the underdog in this series. The only thing that makes it look like it is the uncertainty surrounding your glass of a person. This two have won together(even though na bubble, all win na win. cheesy grin) and Lebron's tremendous experience is very important here. Interestingly, i would rather they dispatch you guys, so we can make quick work of them again if and when we go past the Kings. No hard feelings. cheesy grin. Your team may be uncertain, but your upside is high. Your supporting cast is showing up too. More dangerous than I even thought.

Strange how folks still undermine the Lakers, despite the way they're picking up steam.

papa benji stop eet. We all agreed last week Grizz are the young legs, and they will run Lakers out of town. Now you want to change story. wickedness. Grizz are still the favored to win this series, if Ja comes back. Their style of play is exactly what the Lakers do not want to see. Note how the the young legs on the Lakers team scored the most points

cheesy grin. I am not backing down ooo. But i should get a breather now. cheesy grin. They may be able to run, but if they can't put the ball in the hole na mere exercise. cheesy grin. Hence they need someone that can guarantee 25+ points. Ja is still needed even if they can run.

Most people here get double tougue .

I remember saying Lakers will win this series
4-2 many doubted .

Lakers will beat Memphis again in game 2 and 3.

If Lakers meet GSW or kings, Lakers will beat them..

I see Lakers going to western final

Akpuruka analyst.
Mentioning all star like its a cheat code and ignoring the fact that being an all star is due to a number of factors. Naso you say warriors get 3 all stars including wigs and draymond.
Memphis may have 3 all stars but even thr best player on the team, in Ja morant is not as good as a Fit Anthony Davies, let alone LeBron James.
The lakers have the best players in the league when they are fit.
All star kor, down star ni undecided undecided undecided
Lmaoo na lack of shame cause am. Not even All NBA. Ordinary all star.

If the Lakers lose (which they won't) the built in excuse of they were the underdogs is already in hand. That's why they are running with it

I've never seen a player surrounded with so much talent and they still call him underdog.

Are they not ashamed? Why talk from both sides of your ass. If a player is as great as you say how can he be expected to lose to a team that it's best player is not even as good as AD or Lebron

Wetin concern young legs with playoff basketball?

Who and who agreed the Grizz are young legs? Only JJC fans get carried away by youth talk, in playoff type basketball where every game will be slowed down possession by possession. Your youth is not as important as experience and talent level. Aside Lebron who are the other old legs on the Lakers? Nobody is over 30

It should be a thing of embarrassment and shame that an Anthony Davis and Lebron James led team are considered underdogs in a playoff series against the freakin Grizzles

Nah LeBron fans nah.
No shame at all. Accusing curry of needing help when curry has been on one Team all his life.
No superstar has ever needed another superstar to win anything, as much as LeBron.
He had to unite with Wade and Bosh to win his first two titles, and when they slacked, he ran back to Cleveland. When the warriors won against him in 2015, the story was that he had no help, even though curry, klay and Green were still coming up.
He finally got the help with a fit Kylie Irving and love, even though it took him 7 games and a Draymond suspension.
Then Durant happened and he ran again to Team with Davies. They would have won more Titles of Davies was not always injured. As expected without Davies, he wasn't able to do Jack.
Now Davies is back and they want us to believe they are underdogs....

It's indemnification tactics grin

If they lose it's Ohh well we were supposed to lose, see we were the underdogs

If they win it's look we beat up the mighty Grizzlies (even though their best player is a 23 y.o in his 4th season)

I've never seen nothing like it. Even in the Miami Heat days they said he was the underdog against small small pikin KD and Westbrook despite having the deeper more experienced squad. He was also the underdog against the Grandpa Spurs

Now again on a team with a #1pick AD and a #2 pick D'Angelo Russell they are claiming underdog against the baby Grizzlies. Even if bookies say he's the underdog. You don't have your own brain or discernment?

Not a lot has been said about how dominant Kawhi was.

Looking at that Suns team you have to wonder who they can put in front of Kawhi to slow him down.

KD 0-7 in his last 7 playoff games. Hmmm

Smart. They had to pay him before Burrow and Herbert got their bag.

The guaranteed money for a 24 year old guy coming off an epic Superbowl performance. I'm surprised he didn't ask for more
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 3:22am On Apr 18, 2023
Warriors a bit clumsy with the ball to start the game. Gave away a few steals

However Harrison Barnes thinks he's Steph and cannot stop bricking shots.

See how average Sabonis is looking. Man regular season ball issa scam

Malik Monk..........I see you boy wink wink
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 3:47am On Apr 18, 2023
Warriors better pray Malik Monk doesn't catch fire again. He has those NBA jam sequences where he can't miss
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 3:57am On Apr 18, 2023
Warriors have been ridiculously sloppy with the ball.

And the Kings role players have started making their shots. This is what I was talking about. Role players tend to play better at home.
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 4:02am On Apr 18, 2023
Sabonis is such weak sauce. This man getting his lunch money took by Looney

If AD catch this one. Jehovah cry
Re: The NBA Begins by Skrrrrrrr: 4:09am On Apr 18, 2023
Warriors ain't winning this game....
At this point, I give up....

Poole may actually be the biggest problem in this team...
Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 4:16am On Apr 18, 2023
These Kings don’t look rattled, if anything they are once again taking the game to the Warriors.
