Timberwolves vs Dallas WCF Game 1. Dallas will win .. |
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 3:33am On May 20 |
Porter, KCP and Gordon combined for 16pts. At home |
Re: The NBA Begins by kendrick9(m): 3:41am On May 20 |
Honlucas:I have Wolves winning this series. Gobert, Naz and KAT go chew the rookie Lively. And a hobbled Luka will be going against a great defense 2 Likes 1 Share |
Re: The NBA Begins by Honlucas: 3:48am On May 20 |
kendrick9:I don't know who will win the series but I'm very sure of game 1. Dallas will take it |
Re: The NBA Begins by larride(m): 3:52am On May 20 |
A40: They let a 16pts lead vanish at home. That 3rd and 4th quarter is atrocious. They shot themselves out of the game. They attempted more 3s in the 3rd and 4th quarter than 2pt. The FT disparity in the 4th quarter is laughable. 2 for Nugget, 15 for Wolves. |
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 4:01am On May 20 |
larride:It was 20pts with 10 and a half minutes in the 3rd. They're just an unserious team. They think everyone is the Lakers. They go on these nasty ass extreme slumps that I don't even understand. Who blows a 20pt lead at home? You see why I hate 3pt spamming so much. Because when you start missing you look like you don't belong on the court. A guy like MPJ has now become a spot up shooter. All these guys now do is shoot. 6'10 no handles, no post game. Just a spot up shooter, once your 3 doesn't fall you're useless cos you're not a 3 level scorer. Which is a travesty for a player of his potential especially on that contract 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 4:05am On May 20 |
kendrick9:I don't believe Dallas shoots as badly as the Nuggets would. Plus they have a much better and versatile bench. Wolves are favorites rightfully so but I won't be surprised at all if the Mavs win 1 Like |

Ant Man is the truth, What a comeback |
Re: The NBA Begins by Kilishihunter: 4:33am On May 20 |
A40:End of the road for Dallas, Minnesota double teaming on doncic like they did with jovic and it's lights out, their tight defense should see them through Wolves in 5 or 6 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 4:49am On May 20 |
A40: This is exactly how you judge if a loss is on the number 1 option or not. Jokic and Murray in this game held up their end of the bargain. They both scored 69pts of the 90 total. That is how bad the role players were tonight. But come morning some idiot with a platform will say that Jokic choked or something along that line. PS: The Nuggets bench scored just 5pts in this game. They seriously need to upgrade that bench come what may this offseason 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 4:51am On May 20 |
A40: His back issues has removed the possibility of him ever getting handles or a post game. That's why he should never have been signed to anything near a max extension. |
Re: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 4:56am On May 20 |
Kilishihunter: If Kyrie plays like he did in the Thunder series then it will be a short series. But if he plays up to his capabilities, whenever the wolves double Luka, and he passes out of it, all the Mavericks especially Kyrie needs to do is to take advantage of the open shot in the 4v3 matchups. Let's not be quick to forget that the only reason doubling Jokic worked is because Murray was ass for the first 6 games of the series. He only played well in game 7, and the others decided to shit the bed on that same day 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: The NBA Begins by Kilishihunter: 5:21am On May 20 |
Khanben:Yeah Murray and Porter Jr were ass for most of the series making the jokic carry job (though he later became ass too in the game) a failure this time around but the wolves defence also played a big part in making that happen, the way they restricted Denver to under 50% shooting in game 6 and the last quarter of game 7 is a huge defensive feat Bro don't sleep on this Minnesota team they've had crazy comebacks all year even before this game and to think they even won when most of the calls were going in favor of Denver, Naz Reid coming off the bench to cause destruction is another factor, I just can't see dallas overpowering this wolves defence time and time again 1 Like 1 Share |

Celtics would eat the Mavs for breakfast in the finals, Gimme Ant man and the wolves to bring some heat 2 Likes 1 Share |
Re: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 5:33am On May 20 |
Kilishihunter: Trust me, I am not underestimating them. The Wolves won this game as a team, of the 7 guys that got minutes in this game. 6 of them scored double digits points while playing great individual and team defense. So even though Antman had a so-so game they still won because their others came through while those of the Nuggets disappeared. Also it is not just this game, yes Antman is their best player, but they won 2 games in this series where he didn't play well. 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: The NBA Begins by greypencils: 6:55am On May 20 |
Kilishihunter:Thank you. No one needs a WCF winner that would be a no show in the finals. I need a winner that would eat the Celtics alive. That's why Pacers need to hold their own end of the bargain because you can't have Celtics winning in 5 games and not decimate whoever is coming from the West. Between Dallas and Wolves, I smell a game 7 already. Pacers must also drags Celtics to a game 7 to be on equal footing with whosoever wins in the West. |
Re: The NBA Begins by greypencils: 6:59am On May 20 |
Khanben:I am sure KAT, Ant, Kyrie and Luka will give their best, there is a WCF MVP trophy to be won. None of them has ever won an individual trophy except ROYs. They need that. That's why this series will have a game 7. |
Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 2:37pm On May 20 |
what!!!!! man I went to sleep before half time, Im like no way Nuggets lose this. Ol boy Am I dreaming abi na April fools day |
Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 2:39pm On May 20 |
Kilishihunter: I had to edit this, to be honest Celtics have not faced the level of adversity Pacers or Mavs or Wolves have faced. I think they could very well be the weakest team right now, if just for the fact that it would take them 2 games at least to adjust to a well coached and hungry team. Even with Pacers, question mark dey 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 2:42pm On May 20 |
A40: Man, I circled back to the game at some point and I swore I saw a double digit lead for the Nuggets. And went back to sleep, so Im shook this morning. Had to be an epic choke job, lol. I did warn you about MPJ, the guy man has not lived up to his potential in some years now and stays injured a lot Now you see why I was so pissed with dem Lakers and Lebron, they slept through their series mehn, I know it!!! They mailed that series in, including Lebron. That should at least have been a game 6 or 7 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 3:37pm On May 20 |
joshboo:That bench gets GM fired. They faced a team that was run by their former GM who specifically built a team to beat them and they had no counter |
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 3:42pm On May 20 |
birdman:They're such a Jekyll and Hyde team I've never seen anything like it. They only have themselves to blame for failing to put Minny away MPJ is not a max player but is on max salary and that is the problem the Nuggets have now. Come 2025 guys like Jamal and Aaron Gordon will want another bag, KCP would be expendable by then but there's no way they will be able to fit in all 3. Someone will have to go. And MPJ now is pretty much a glorified spot up shooter. You can get one for way less than $35m Lakers don't have Anthony Edwards, McDaniels or Naz Reid. I hope they sign another big name like Mitchell instead of gritty and hungry players so they can lose again 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 3:45pm On May 20 |
Kilishihunter:Is it? Hmm. I'm not so sure. Depends on Kyrie. This is the series he has to show up. And unlike Denver Dallas has two athletic bigs. This should be a tighter series than most people think 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 4:23pm On May 20 |
Khanben:That would be silly to say. Basketball is a team sport. It's Bronsexuals that began this narrative of a player carrying a team but anyone with a working brain knows this is humanly impossible in a 5 man sport Years from now Anthony Edwards would be given credit for 'carrying' this team. Nobody would mention a Jaden McDaniels averaging 22pts a game in the 2 wins The GM essentially punted on this season after more or less stating this team was not designed with a back to back in view. If you watch Mike Malone and Jokic in previous interviews they stylishly brought up personnel and how their starters had been run into the ground. The first priority should be going back to get Bruce Brown and then get rid of all the flotsam on their bench young and old 2 Likes 1 Share |

Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 5:39pm On May 20 |
Khanben:Yeah that was a crucial error by their Front office. Not at the time because you thought his skillset and game would expand. But it's apparent now that he's pretty much a spot up shooter that can't create for himself or others. You don't have to pay $35m to a player that limited 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 6:03pm On May 20 |
A40: Really the narrative of one man winning in the nba started with Lebron. Come on, it is okay if you don't like the guy or his fans, but to claim that the one guy carried a team started with Lebron is a big fat lie. The one guy carrying the team has existed as far back as when Wilt played with people claiming he was a loser because his team lost once again to Bill's Celtics, even though Bill had like 5-6 other HOF on his team. |
Re: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 6:42pm On May 20 |
birdman: In the Lakers series MPJ showed up big, this allowed denver to stay within reach before Jokic and Murray two man game closed things out. This is why role players stepping up matters. 1 Like 1 Share |

Skrrrrrrr: Lol...No one got this right, even the best of analysts. |
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 7:13pm On May 20 |
Khanben:Lol. You've started capping again. The whole lingo of carrying a team went mainstream in NBA lingo with Bron. Used to be a goofy thing to say in the past cos we all knew you needed a team to win. It's Bronsexuals we frequently heard saying Bron carried Bron carried. The only other player I can say was also given that credit which I can somewhat understand is A.I What are we even talking about. Is it not Bronsexuals that claim Warriors recruited KD to stop one guy. Like Kyrie's 27 ppg didn't help the Cavs win Laughable you would mention Wilt. How can that be when he had Jerry West and Elgin Baylor on his team. He also lost to the Knicks with those two all time greats. Bad example 3 Likes 1 Share |
Re: The NBA Begins by greypencils: 7:57pm On May 20 |
All Rookie teams in. The First team, Wemby, Holmgren, Miller, Jaquez & Podz. Second team, Lively, Amen Thompson, Keyonte George. The other two are faces I don't know. I can't remember watching any of their games. I was expecting Scoot Henderson & Ausar Thompson to be on the team. |
Re: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 8:11pm On May 20 |
A40: So the 80s was not Magic vs Bird or it was not MJ and the Bulls. It was not can Kobe win without Shaq? You have a funny way of rehashing history, you want people to believe that it was up until Lebron that people started saying it was about Lebron and others. As for Kyrie, the dude got a pass for half a decade just because of that performance in the 2016 playoffs series. |
