I have been watching him recently. Forget his father...the hype...poor shooting mechanism or that he is less explosive. He is the best passer in his draft class and reads the game very well. What he really needs is to work on his shooting and his mentality the rest will come.

Many times with these explosive players who force things people tend to get swooned by them and give them greater credit than they deserve. But I would prefer to look out for a levelheaded player whose vision and mentality are assets that can be honed and I think Lonzo has it in a way only Ben Simmons gets close to in this draft class. Where Lonzo edges it is that Simmons sees it and sometimes gets it. Whereas Lonzo sees it and can get it. Let Lakers just shake their roster and have less of the same power players and Lonzo’s brilliance will show.

Never underrate the power of matchups in this league. Some teams just get your medicine and there is not much you can do about it. Plus every Cavs role players are scoring and scoring at a high clip. They took the insults after that first round to heart and it's looking like the perfect storm.

Even as an unrepentant LeNomad basher I appreciate a player who hones his craft. If you were watching LeNomad circa 2005-2011 and they told you he would be making these kind of jumpers later on in his career you would laugh till you fall asleep. Bruh we've seen this like 3yrs in a row. Lowry and Derozan are like brothers where both of them gets depressed when one or the other isn't feeling good. Lowry. Both of em can't just get past that mental slavery when the King shows up and this one is a choice

I think everybody is being a bit harsh on the Raptors. These were the guys a significant number of people thought the friggin Wizards would beat so why the sudden turnaround in expectations that they would pose problems for the Cavs?

Their two best players are Lowry and DeRozan. We could say they are soft and we could also acknowledge their limits. The Lowry I know that was in Houston? Abi another Lowry? That they are at this point where people expect them to even beat a Lebron led team shows he has somewhat overachieved
