Congratulations to Apc in Osun State ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ» PRESS STATEMENT. 10TH FEBRUARY, 2025). Osun APC Hails Appeal Court Judgment Reinstating APC Council Chairmen, Councillors Sacked By Adeleke ...Lauds Oyetola's Relentless Efforts Leading Party To Victory In Future Elections The Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) has hailed the Court of Appeal judgment reinstating the elected council Chairmen and Councillors who were chased out of office by Governor Ademola Adeleke's government over two years ago. The APC lauded the Justices for a sound verdict delivered describing it as a welcome development which has further proven the 'power of light over darkness'. The party specifically acknowledged the tremendous contributions of the immediate past governor and the current Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, who has been unilaterally financing the party particularly most of the litigations filed. It would be recalled that the local government officers who were elected on October 15th, 2022 under the platform of the APC were sacked by Governor Ademola Adeleke on assumption of office. The APC State Chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal in a statement issued by the APC Director of Media and Information, Mogaji Kola Olabisi, on Monday, described the Appeal Court's judgment as "voice populi voice dei". The party acknowledged the implications of the judgment which has given the legal backing to the reinstated council officers to return to office with immediate effect. According to Lawal: "It is worthwhile to commend the judiciary for always proving to be the hope for a common man as manifested in today's judgment where the Justices of the Court of Appeal unanimously delivered the verdict reinstating the removed APC council Chairmen and Councillors. "It is still fresh in the memories on how the incumbent Governor Adeleke chased out the elected council officers who were elected in 2022 under the administration of our party's leader, the then Executive Governor, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola. "But today, we give thanks to God that light has subsumed darkness and we are victorious. The sound judgment unanimously delivered by the Justices of the Appeal Court is a clear testimony of the Osun people's mandate willingly given to our party in all the 30 Local Government Council Areas and Ife-East Modakeke Area Office. "We commend the Leader of our great party, former Governor of our dear state and current Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola on this victory. We equally thank him for his continued support to the party. "No doubt, he has been unilaterally financing all the litigations and cases filed by the party and many more. This has been the driving force and source of motivation for us. We pray God to continue to strengthen him. "We congratulate all the reinstated council Chairmen and Councillors over this judicial victory. We equally rejoice with the good people of the state for their resilience and support for our party throughout the the dark period. This is a victory for all", Lawal added. e-SIGNED: Sooko TAJUDEEN LAWAL,. Chairman, Osun State APC. 13 Likes 3 Shares

press9jatv: So people are still celebrating victory for this wicked and failed APCHaram? The worst party in the world, party of hunger, pain, killings and terrorists. Are most Yorubas truly educated as claimed? Those Chairmen will never smell that seat until the Supreme courts judgement. PDP is going on appeal and of course they have applied for stay of execution so this premature celebration is useless . 11 Likes 3 Shares |

On Today's Court of Appeal (Akure) Decision on Osun LG Chairmen! The Court of Appeal sitting in Akure delivered a significant judgment via Zoom rarlier today (10/02/2025) in Appeal No: CA/AK/270/2022, where the appeal was allowed. The controversy over the judgment is needless - the Court meticulously considered all grounds of appeal and allowed the appeal, thereby granting all the reliefs sought by APC and other Appellants (see the attached for all the reliefs). The Court granted all reliefs, particularly setting aside the judgment of the Federal High Court dated November 25, 2022, and importantly, restoring the sacked Local Government Chairmen back to their seats. For context, the appeal decided today challenged Justice N. Ayo-Emmanuel's judgment, which had nullified the October 15, 2022 LG elections and ordered the elected officials to vacate office. Today's decision of the Appeal Court has now effectively overturned that judgement. While the PDP and other Respondents in the appeal have the right to appeal to the Supreme Court, legally speaking, as of today and until any contrary decision, the previously sacked LG Chairmen are the legal and only valid Chairmen of LGs across Osun State. A crucial implication? The impending LG elections in Osun simply can't proceed under current circumstances. If OSIEC attempts to conduct elections despite today's judgment, and should the Supreme Court later affirm this Court of Appeal decision, such elections would be null and void. As Lord Denning stated in MacFoy v UAC (1962): "You cannot put something on nothing and expect it to stay there." To save public resources and prevent illegality, OSIEC would be wise to await any Supreme Court determination before proceeding. Yes, the Respondent might seek a stay of execution, but even then, OSIEC risks contempt of court by proceeding with elections while today's judgment of the Appeal Court stands. For reference, you can find the specific prayers granted in the Amended Notice of Appeal attached to this post, particularly Paragraphs A through H, which detail the comprehensive reliefs sought and obtained. Of course, the impending CTC of the judgment would clear all the needless controversies. Misbau Alamu Lateef, Ph.D Akogun Odugbire Compound Orolu L.G.A Osun State. 6 Likes

Everyone in Osun state knows that APC is a satanic party. Under the party that the suffering of the masses multiplied. A party that is full of evil. Even Aregbesola will be shifting on his seat about this kangaroo and bolekaja judgment. Let's see how those local government chairmen will rule under opposition governor. Even supreme Court will be careful cos they know giving the mandate to Apc will lead to blood letting. Check yourself very well if you are still supporting APC. It means something is totally wrong somewhere. 8 Likes 2 Shares |
