Jakumo:@Jakumo, how's it going? In a reaction video posted here on NL that I watched over again on this issue of the teenager (I assume she's still a teenager since she's only in her sophomore year) attacking the lecturer who also has a son in that Uni, her lecturer mother did claim that her girl has some mental health issues. So, if that's the case, it explains why she quickly unraveled like that in a vicious manner in public. Regardless, she should be taking her treatments from professional therapists to stabilize her and NOT be in an academic environment just yet filming herself on her mobile phone for social media uploads. Fortunately, the male lecturer's spouse is a legal practitioner and that probably explains why he was VERY calm during the needless assaults (the hot slaps and a deep bite on his skin) on him by that girl knowing full well the legal implications. I'm even in awe that a lot of the well-known females (who would have verbally savaged any man in this kinda situation) who use this discussion forum were in total support of the lecturer maybe because of the overwhelming video evidence against that girl. NOT just the females on this Website alone, but LARGELY most young and middle-aged women online and offline who saw the full video were in full support of the male lecturer. I hope that gives you fresh perspectives on this situation. 1 Like 1 Share |

Konquest: Oga Konquest I throway salute If there is any truth to the claim that the mother of the student involved in that fracas alleged her daughter suffered from mental illness, the speed with which the confrontation escalated to wrestling is less of a mystery in light of that new revelation. Be that as it may, I would like you to consider how things would have turned out if the lecturer simply IGNORED whatever rude comments were made by that student, and continue walking along that hallway without showing any sign of having taken offence to what he heard. In my opinion the entire storm in a teacup ONLY began when the lecturer laid hands on the woman and tried to grab her phone. That is where he crossed the line and put the student's tolerance of being manhandled to test. Regardless of whether the student had a history of mental illness, she would never have been placed in a position of having to physically defend herself, if that man had not attacked her spontaneously and in the absence of any direct PHYSICAL provocation. The RIGHT thing that the lecturer should have done would have been to pull out his own phone and PHOTOGRAPH the student, so as to identify her for disciplinary action later. Instead of that rational approach, the lecturer descended into frenzied animalistic behavior by attacking a woman, which is COWARDLY and shows the man to be a bully who is NOT in control of his temper and is thus a danger to innocent people in his vicinity. That lecturer deserves to be sacked immediately and blacklisted so that he can never lecture in any Nigerian university for as long as he lives. 1 Like |

Jakumo:I understand where you are coming from. In an ideal scenario all that you said right ABOVE is logical sequence. However, there's ALSO CLEARLY another key point I didn't include in the last reply to you. After the girl nearly bumped into him while walking backwards filming herself with her mobile phone, he had to lightly tap her in order to call her attention to that situation. Now, just as he moved on after lightly tapping her, she spoke condescendingly and insulted him to the hearing of her friend and the male lecturer, so, he came back to know why she said those things. I understand the perspective of simply walking away because things could have panned out differently and badly for the male lecturer if the whole scenario had NOT been recorded live (voice and audio). She even tore his cloths and accused him of touching her BOOBS which turned out not to be true based off of the video evidence. That's how bad things can quickly spiral out of control. In any event, right BELOW is a link to where it was indicated by someone in the comments section of that link below that the girl's senior lecturer mother said she ISN'T "mentally stable" BUT another guy countered that allegation claiming that "proof" must be supplied by the girl's mother to indicate that she indeed had mental issues. => https://www.legit.ng/people/1640212-female-student-unizik-reportedly-slaps-lecturer-interrupting-tiktok-video-people-react/ Excerpts of Some Comments BELOW: HRH Williams said: "According to her mum. She said her daughter has mental issues and isn't mentally stable." Blaq Beautee reacted: "It’s a big lie. It’s probably a way to get her away from being disciplined. No matter how mentally unstable one is, they can’t go this far. Trust me, the mother is lying because she doesn’t want her child expelled or she losing her position." Black Caeser added: "She will have to prove it with a prescription to show their board. I mean, this is unacceptable behavior. Yes, there are lecturers who have assaulted students in the past but the reverse is usually unheard of. You can tell the girl is ill mannered from the 1st video." Konquest: This thoroughly researched and unbiased response is appreciated, Oga Konquest. All the same I remain steadfast in my perception that IF ONLY the lecturer had just ignored the lady's rudeness as he walked past her, none of that escalation would have occurred in the first place. Consider the hypothetical scenario in which the lecturer pulled out his phone, and proceeded to film the student for identification purposes, only for her to attack him FIRST in a bid to grab his phone. In that instance, the university authorities would have been well within their rights to summon the police so that the unruly student could earn a free ride to the station in handcuffs where her parents would be invited for bail discussions. By taking on the role as the aggressor who became the one to strike that crucial first blow which then kicked off a wild scuffle, the professor abandoned the moral high ground and exposed himself to litigation in the event that a competent lawyer is tenured by the student's family to demand substantive monetary compensation from the university over the incident. Phrases like "unprovoked, frenzied attack, defamation, mental anguish, disruption of studies, and trauma" will get thrown around during such court proceedings that could ultimately cost the university a gigantic sum of money under court order. 1 Like |

OneOnland: hahhaha. WHen you mentioned a movie producer, i just laughed. Have you seen any movie producer just go into an office or class and start shooting video ? Before anything, a movie producer will take permission, and they will shoot at an appropriate time. I have seen movies being shot before. Amfem: This is a very careless statement to make, females play an important role in every functional society. Your last line should be the focus, i.e. raising children well regardless of whether they are males or females. |
