Those with shallow thinking capacity who like to deride Peter Obi in all things without thinking have been attacking him for asking for the reopening of Onitsha Head Bridge market that was closed by NAFDAC because they discovered fake drugs in the warehouses of some drugs sellers.

But before you continue to attack Peter Obi, answer this question - is fake drugs the only thing sold in that market?

Or would you support the closing of all the mosques in Nigeria because most terrorists are Muslims?

Would you support the closing of all the churches in Nigeria because some pastors are fake and charlatans?

Would you ask for the disbandment of the entire police force because some criminal characters in the police force defraud citizens?

Would you ask for the extermination of Nigeria from world map because some of our citizens are fraudsters defrauding foreigners of their money while others are drug dealers with international drug trafficking networks?

If you have never called for any of the above, then it’s double standard for you to support the closure of Onitsha market because of few fake drugs dealers.

Have you asked what will become the fate of those selling building materials in the market?

What of those selling spare parts?

Or those selling cosmetics and beauty products?

What of food vendors and other artisans who depend on the market for their daily sustenance?

These people should all suffer because of the action of a few people who decided to do the wrong thing that they had absolute no control over?

Make it make sense.

If I was President , I will shut down every factory and market in the SE and ban movement of any product out of the SE until every fake production is ended.

On Kpiiii my bended prick, the very first of its name, I can swear that,

No matter how wretched you feel, there is still someone you're better than. Just look around in your family, you must find at least that one person.

So be calming down, cause you're beginning to sound like a helpless chihuahua.

Except if you are telling us that people in the market are not aware about those who are making fake drugs from the market . How many years now have they been producing the fake drugs? How many people have they killed with their products?

Perhaps, you should have waited till they use their fake drugs to kill us finish before acting

Why is even hard for you lots to condemn evil thinks like the fake drugs?

The only way Igbos can stop this insults they keep receiving from Nigeria and stop basking in the limitless streak of victimization is to stop playing ostrich to emotions, come out in full force and take power by any means necessary like the MAJORITY ETHNIC GROUP that you are. Stop playing politics of emotions, stop allowing the euphoria of secession keep pushing you away from the circle of isolationism, stop the "us vs the rest" mentality and join the tripod stand of power. Obi needs to stop playing the populist nice man politics cause that will only make him popular, but won't get him the presidency! It's time to get ruthless and if necessary make strategic alliances with the core North who are now divided over the Tinubu administration.

Igbos will stop all this insults coming their way and start reaping the benefits of power they have been denied for decades if they play POLITICS NOW. Una no get seaport, una no get any vital Federal presence in the SE, the FG of the SW have joined Buhari in continuing the politics of sidelining the South East even in Federal appointments and infrastructures.

Igbos need to align with the core North, heal the wounds from the coup/civil war including every fractured history the East has with the North, make concessions and strike political deals with the North, and leverage on the cracks in the APC power structure between the SW and core North to position themselves in a position to negotiate for power come the next election. The only true friends of the Igbos might ironically be the North right now...forget the forced alliance with the South South, those ones only benefit from Igbo alliance when it favors them.

There's a reason the NDLEA shut down the whole market. You should be grateful the government is not pulling down all the shanties and few shops in the market sef. What people were doing in the market won't be allowed in the USA, UK, Germany, Canada or Australia.

Let NAFDAC carry out a thorough job at the market please.

Good points!

But no matter the alliance, Obi must never pair with Elrufai.

Yes!! Dora did the same thing during her time, she even explained how the traders visited her husband.
If the market leadership can't stop the trading of fake drugs and drinks, than government should close the market.

I tire for those of you who think you can rationalise with bigots! They will NEVER see reason because they’re reasoning with their hate-filled hearts and not with their heads!

Has the NAFDAC or whatever they’re called engaged with the market leaders of the market in question to identify the specific owners of the stores or warehouses where the fake drugs were found? This is so they can be handed over for prosecution! If the market is known as a hotspot for fake drugs, what actions have been taken in the past to get the market authorities to police themselves and weed out the criminals amongst them? If you close down an entire market because some of the traders were engaged in acts of criminality, you may just as well close down Aso-Rock!

If they can condone fake drugs there, then there is high possibility that all goods in that market are fake and injurious to Nigerians.

The sales of fake drugs and drinks didn't start today, Dora closed the same market too undecided The quantity of fake drugs going in and out of the market is too much.
If the market leadership can't stop it or work with security agencies, the market should be closed down.

Let educate you on the so called fake drugs they are talking about, those traders you see in the market are sole representatives of different pharmaceuticals in Nigeria or other countries. Are those traders into fake drugs Mr man?

What of those traders who import those US or UK drugs that doesn't need our own NAFDAC approval on their drugs, are those traders into fake drugs Mr man?

Just answer this question, then we can continue on our discussion.
