This is due to poor wiring , not everyone who claim to install panels are professionals at it. Any lay man can do it there are YouTube tutorials on it

Build your own house first, before you talk of envy.
Until then, rest!

Even if the chances are 1/1000, the landlord is not willing to take an inch of that risk for you.
I understand his position, because he’s not gaining anything from it. I will do the same.

The landlord owns his house, he has the right to put it in the terms of agreement before any payments is made for the tenant to decide whether to rent the house or not

from nail holes?

ehikwe22:
This is very very very unlikely to happen. The most likely problem is LEAKING ROOF. it happens almost all the time. When my guy installed, his roof started leaking. I installed, the same thing. Few other friends I know installed, their roofs started leaking

Mine has never leaked,
Go to where they sell building materials and get original nail leak proof, that shining materia with gum underneath, use and block all nail heads and the place the nail pierced into the roof and u won't see water in ur house again

I hope the agenda is not by generator importers or a refinery owner who want to scare people from using solar to boost their market share.
Re: When The Landlord Says "No Solar Panels On My Roof". This Is Why (Photo) by EPIJOE: 2:51pm On Mar 09
Alot of people nowadays pay wack electrical engineers. To install solar panels cos some charge cheap.

I will never allow such in my house of I'm a landlord. The person installing the solar mus be a professional and also. You would sigh a contract agreement with me.

May God save us from fire disasters

Why fuel no dey catch fire again for Nigeria unlike before... If you will ban solar then you need to ban generator as well. A lot of people just hear solar and start answering solar engineers. They don't know why Guage and current calculations. More of this will happen in the future because a lot of people don't know calcuation and safety

I am an ambassador to green and clean energy in the world and together we can achieve it.

Incase you need solar installation in your houses or your organisation or your school or church you can contact me. You can pay instalment payment for 3 years. You can send email to me if interested.

Why not create a tread and post your work let everyone see?

you understand absolutely nothing about either Physics or electrical engineering.
A solar panels is merely a battery charging component,it powers nothing even if it does it's miniscule to the extent that it's power is not enough to burn or ignite anything..the change over, electrical circuits you mentioning are constantly under loads .am trying to explain like 5 years old so that you won't say am using industry jargons to confuse you.

No mattwr the load on the battery oe inverter..its does not affect the solar panel.

Let me explain how electrical current works..just like a river with its source, the river current from its source is moving from point a to b ,that movement is the power..the speed at which the water moves is the current..somw might be slow, some fast like rapids...power can diffee depending on size ans depths of water , especially power is mainly by volume.

Has you will hardly see a river flowing back to its source same way you can never see a battery overloading a solar panel.

See as person just use confidence dey spew nonsense.

That's why it's good to be properly enlightened about how these things work

A solar panel generates between 21 to 43volts... My brother, how 43volts wan take cause fire and then burn down house?

Something that isn't even inflammable in the first place abi shey dem pour petrol for the solar panels ni?

If anything would blow up, it should be charge controller, inverter or battery
another nonsense talk.

Most mppt nowadays can take over 400vdc. When there is a short-circuit, and the cable is strong enough, it will ignite. Stop saying what you don't know. Get certified.

Transformer is isolated for a reason! Are they usually put on another person's property... una go dey use anus they reasonπŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈπŸ˜²

Things like that are rare. I never heard of one self.

You these 'saner clime' folks are terribly pessimistic dingbats.

If you want to install solar use the professionals, use the right cables. I have never heard of a burning panel. Fire from a Christmas tree nearly finished my friend's house if not that the tenant arrived home at the right time.
