Considering the antecedents of the criminals amongst the herdsmen, such Greek Gifts should be resoundingly rejected!

Sigh... There is no such thing as "Farmer-herders" clash!

Can we just quit that crap?!!

That's gaslighting 101.

We are talking about the forceful taking of farms, maiming, rape, murder of innocent people here.

We are talking about atrocities that are no different from war crimes.

Infact, we are talking about the agelong indulgence of nomadic herdsmen simply because they are from specific tribes and regions that are clearly well represented in key parts of government.

When you are ready to face the reality of your failed state, let me know.
What we have these days are mostly the crimes you described, but these crimes were preceded by farmer-herder clashes. I don't know how old you are but I personally witnessed farmer-herder issues when herders came to my father's farm in the 90's. They weren't carrying guns and committing mass murder then and the clashes were few and far between.

What I've never seen those of you who mouth "private business private business" whenever government ranching is mentioned do is come up with a solution. Oh, we should bomb them wherever we see them? Well, maybe. That's why government wants to confine them to ranches first so that we can create a strict liability law by which anyone seen with a cow outside will be arrested on the spot. That's how you take away the guise under which those who commit the atrocities you described are entering our communities.

Won't be the first time government is coming into business too.

WE WANT TO SEE U PUT THIS SAME EFFORT INTO BUILDING RAILWAY IN SE REGION WHEN U BUILD THEM IN THE NORTH AND SW.

WE WANT TO SEE THIS SAME EFFORT INTO GIVING THE SE THEIR OWN SHARE OF THE LOAN U USED OUR NAME TO COLLECT WHEN YOU SHARE IT BETWEEN THE NORTH AND SW.

WE WANT TO SEE THIS SAME EFFORT INTO GIVING PETER OBI HIS MANDATE WHEN HE WINS ELECTION INSTEAD OF STEALING IT FOR YOUR MUSLIM/MUSLIM AGENDA WITH TILUMBU.

THE LIST ARE ENDLESS.

WE DONT PRIORITISE FULANI INTEREST IN IGBOLAND OVER THE OUR OWN GOOD AND BETTERMENT.

WE WONT USE OUR LAND TO CREATE JOB FOR FULANI WHILST OUR PEOPLE NEED JOB.

U HAVE ALREADY OCCUPIED ALL THE GOVERNMENT JOBS, POLICE JOBS, EVEN YOUR BOKO HARAM RECRUITED INTO ARMY.

AND U DEY ENJOY ALL THE OIL WELL.

DO U REALLY WANT TO RISK IT ALL OVER IGBOLAND?

In Nigeria, rape, murder are crimes where the perpetrators are often arrested and prosecuted. Why is it that when it is done by a Fulani man it is no longer a "crime" where the criminals are to be arrested or prosecuted, but rather a "problem" whose only solution is "a livestock ministry" and/or ranching?

The people have spoken and the FG should back off. If they are serious about the whole "farmer-herder" crisis - like, is it even farmer-herder clashes, when it is the herders who are always trespassing and committing mass murders? - and think they need to get involved, they should:
1. Ban herding and proscribe the herders national association and its members as terrorists
2. Go after the criminal herders and treat them like the criminals they are.

It is many people's source of livelihood and it must therefore be done with caution. They must call them to.meetings which will lead to a deadline for them to sort themselves out even if only to withdraw gradually and build their ranches in the North. There is nothing wrong with building ranches in the North where they have land. They can still get fodder from anywhere. It will be wrong to approach them like criminals. There must be a long enough deadline that they subscribe to

We don't care what you think as long as your wonderful women keep disturbing the public space each time Fulanis start attacking you and raping them whle you weaklings with only online noise run away tying wrapper like idiots.

A solution is on the table and that's it. You can't defend yourself like men and still you are not disciplined enough to stop consuming Fulani cow meat with glee at the slightest opportunity. Your ego won't allow people to save you from yourself so that decision is no longer up to you. You can change it if Peter Obi becomes president grin

Fulanis are broadly grouped into two: the Town Fulani and the Roving/Cattle/Nomadic Fulani.

Go read up Maghreb and Fútá Djalon histories (which I'm sure you'll never do) to educate your skull the more.

Why would someone leave the vast grasslands of the North to come and graze cattle in the Dot south East?

Igbos have seen through the smokescreen.
No grazing routes, Ruga, ranching, cattle colony or any other wicked name they'll come up with, in the South East.

The way you weighbill beans and rice is the way you should ranch in the North and weighbill beef and cows to the SE.

Anyone who wants to domesticate the Cattle Fulani should do so in Sambissa forest.

Any sinister move to install bloodthirsty savages in the SE will be resisted.

It is the right to approach them as criminals because that is what they are, no sugarcoating. Murderers are criminals, rapists are criminals. This idea of preferential treatment for certain groups of people is why we are still having this discussion in 2025. It is why Bashir is being overlooked for his statement about the Southern Kaduna people whereas FFK in 2022 received an invite for much less. I just hope the FG knows that Nigerians can see through the bias. I also hope that they can feel the temperature of most Nigerians, that they're tired of these marauders.

Why SE? They have the smallest land mass for Petes sake. Niger state alone is bigger than the 5 eastern states combined. They should build the ranches there.

You are very ignorant of how things work in the lawless Nigeria. The ranches should be built up north and let them stop destroying farmers crops in the east. Secondly, once they establish a base in the east the evil ones among them will gain ground and start disturbing people. Igbos can very well invest in ranching and cattle rearing for profit. You and your FG peace makers should build your ranch in the north and raise your cows there.

Are you deliberately ignoring the key part that have been mentioned repeatedly that the ranches must be owned by the locals, in this case the Igbos whose homeland we are talking about. The example of the ranches in Oyo was also mentioned. Even without full implementation, when last did you hear of herdsmen attack in Oyo State?

If Igbos are not buying or eating cow meat then that's a different issue. The market is there already & the issue will have to be addressed.

They are not ready for any solution. They are okay with their age-long nzogbu nzogbu approach while the real victims are crying and getting raped with no end in sight. They love playing into Fulanis hands with violent approach but with no structure like the Fulanis & they end up fighting the state, a battle they can never win. Pawn moves.

Leave them o. They act first before thinking. Government backed ranches owned by the Igbos, in this case, defeat any justification for herding by outside players.
