Nigeria is a playground. The powerful will always win. They got supreme court and presidency, Rivers oil must be sucked to irigbaji
Re: Fubara Insincere, Whipping Up Sentiments — Rivers Assembly by Ojuntana: 7:00am On Mar 13
“That alone vitiates the claimed purpose. It is procedurally trite that after writing to the Assembly, the governor ought to wait for the letter to be acknowledged by the lawmakers, who will then invite him to appear before them and make his presentation. Governor Fubara ought to know this if he is sincere.

I'm surprised the assembly men now realise that there's a procedure for reaching out to the governor and expecting a reply
They were giving 48hrs ultimatum before. Now they remember procedure. What part of the procedure did you rely on to give the governor 48hrs and extend it to 72hrs?

No gentleman in politics, Fubara is playing the game too shocked

Wike is in support of his impeachment and you still want him to play along and be humiliated. I can't imagine the debt on their necks, one year without salary undecided

To make matters worse, President Tinubu is in support of the whole nonsense to a sitting Governor. That's what is giving them audacity to act that way. Well other States are watching, Tinubu couldn't have involved him self in Wikes fight undecided

The fight is not over, I still stand Gov Fubara
Are you not tired of mentioning president Tinubu in this matter. Did he not call for truce and rivers elders were in Abuja too but Fubara came to rivers and decided to ignore the president about representing the budget. Why is he now running helter skelther to represent the budget he should have done earlier. He was just listening to bitter, fustrated and hateful animals who think the president shouldn't have to intervene. Tinubu since then, allow the process in the court to follow and haven't lost, fools like you and others from sadeast now blame him. Quit nzogbu nzogbu ways.

Fear politicians! I've seen Fubara's dramatic antics firsthand. During my brief stint with a government agency, I learned that every letter received is acknowledged and responded to. So, it's appalling that a letter from the governor himself on a critical issue like budget presentation was ignored and not acknowledged.

This experience reinforces my belief that Nigerians are often perceived as gullible, driven by emotions rather than logic. It's disheartening to see how easily people's beliefs can be manipulated.

Not only in government agencies. In all sane organizations or establishment, any letter must be acknowledged and responded to.
Anyway, they are all Wike stooges, they can do whatever they like to each other.

Its really unfortunate what the politicians are doing in Rivers State. They have place their primordial interests above the interest of the people they had sworn to be accountable to while in power. This is the bane of our underdevelopment in Africa. This is the reason why we do not make progress because hallowed institutions of State are pre -bended to appease few individuals who happen to find themselves in power via political godfathers. This calls for the people to clearly see and make up their minds as to what kind of leadership would they want upon them and which would determine their future and their descendants. It is common all over Nigeria, it's just because in Rivers they fell out between themselves.

This man should ask God for wisdom and stop taking advice from all this failed politicians.

He should know that all of them will abandon him once anything happens and life goes on. Wisdom is profitable, as you are getting, try to get understanding. If now obvious that the assembly guys have the backing of the presidency, they use the supreme court to make it look like rule of law.

The assembly has the backing of THE PRESIDENT, THE SUPREME COURT, RULE OF LAW and EVERYONE who supports the rule of law in Nigeria. Rivers state does not belong to you, Fubara and all his supporters.

Many of you emergency supporters of Fubara didn't know him before wike did all he could to make him Governor.

FUBARA you can't just seat and send letters to the whole speaker and his members on social media that you are coming, even president can't go to national assembly without officially informing them. And he must wait for the members response to accept his coming to the national assembly or not.
But the national assembly can summon the president right? Even government appointees did not honor summons by the national assembly and heaven did not fall. And we all saw how you guys cheered during saraki's Senate when they invited buharis men and they refused to show up

Fubara's inability to face reality and his constant sentiment-whipping make him unfit for office. He's lost focus, and it's clear people didn't vote for him, but rather Wike's candidate. His actions now seem treacherous, pretending to be for the people when it was Wike who campaigned for him.

At the time of the election, Fubara lacked any notable pedigree for people to support. His inexperience and immaturity make him ill-equipped to govern. It's essential he realigns with his sponsor and campaigner, as his current vulnerability is exposed.

Fubara's daily mistakes are alarming, and he must be bold enough to face the truth and humble himself to reconcile. His arrogance and recalcitrance are shameful, especially considering those who don't support him are benefiting from his simplicity.
Must it be you all these yoruba dimwits from the west advising a governor in a state I am currently residing? Please face your osun politics....we are just hoping somehow fubara plays this and gets to 2027 then you will see the might of rivers behind him

If you are not gullible, then your thinking faculty is less than a muster seed. If the assembly gave him a 48 hours ultimatum and he has the interest of his people at heart. He waited to get the ctc of the courts judgement and took action. He should also sit down and wait for the assembly to reply or acknowledge before he present the budget? What if the assembly ignored the letter on purpose without responding for a month?

Is it right to single handedly pick someone as a governor without campaign in a democracy? That means Wike is evil 😈

False. The governor refused the presidential mediation. He went ahead to demolish the HoA complex. Declared the duly elected lawmakers seats vacant due to a spurious defection... Went on air to say the speaker is existing by the governor's grace.... Concocted a gang led by jumbo as his own assembly sitting inside the governors office....

He's a traitor. He needs to be a leader whatever that takes.

With all the ultimatum they were giving I thought before I finished reading this piece I would see a paragraph where they wrote "Oya come tomorrow,'
"Or come with the budget on Friday '

Instead the spokesman Georgia just kept telling us old events that are passed.

It all shows that initial 48 hours ultimatum was to embarrass the Governor, expecting that he won't meet up.

The spokesman failed to inform the public that the bunch of cowards gave the governor 48 to present the budget. They gave the RESIEC man 48 hours to appear before them. 48 hours became part of their lexicon. They forgot that the 48 hours were meant to embarrass the governor himself and give the speaker the appearance of the governor himself. We never heard of such before. Wike himself would not tolerate that from his then house of assembly members. He made himself an absolute ruler, with nothing to show for in Rivers state other than roads and judges quarters.

In the end what did they achieve. The cowards expect to receive their allowances and yet they prolong the matter.

It is clear as daylight that the cowards are bent on impeaching Fubara. The commissioners list simply is another list of their own people to be presented to them for approval.

I strongly believe that Wike will be out of the political equation by 2027 with this level of greed on his part.

By the time he got back from the Stadium where his inauguration held,
many appointments had already been made for him

Already appointed where his Kitchen & other domestic Staff, driver & other personal Staff up to his Chief Security Officer

His Stomach and Life having been firmly secured within their hold, they moved to other areas

A Camp Commandant was also appointed alongside full security contingent already kept for him (most of whom weren't familiar with his)

The chain had further been fastened

Then they to the level of Government,
several other appointments had also been made

A Cousin of his predecessor was already appointed as his Chief of Staff (the first to see him in the morning and last to see him at night)

If you think that's all, then you're wrong

Then the Commissioners

He had no say in how most of them emerged

Ofcourse, many served in the previous administration and had their localities elsewhere

I don't know of any Governor who wouldn't be choked by such level of chaining

It's not like it's the first time someone would be helping another become Governor

Even the chainer himself had been helped

Interestingly, those who helped the chainer allowed him freedom of decision

But the chainer being whom he is, built firmly walled Chain around the helped

Let me make it clear

Another Cousin of the helper was made Speaker of the Assembly he would work with

Then at the Party level, two relatives of the Helper were made Chairmen of the two dominant Parties existing in the State

The helper's plan was clear

He was to just answer a Governor with the control of his own Government elsewhere

Again, I don't know which of us would accept this situation

Then the helper's Boys had no respect for him

They called him small Boy, Mugu & sundry names

It was the norm to disrespect him

This Governor was in chains and ought to enjoy it

But he dared for his freedom

Today, whatever the situation, the point has been established that he can't be pushed the way they thought

It's still a Work-in-Progress....
