There was a fire outbreak that affected the hallowed chember and the foundational structure which necessitated the pulling down of that section of the building

And what he is currently building is even more bigger and more solid to the small hall that got burnt/ demolished

If Fubara didn't Bomb and Demolished the House of assembly complex because of fear of impeachment, The #19 Billion wasted on the new complex would have gone a long way in other sector of human and infrastructure development

Following the recent National address by Mr President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday 17th, 2025 to suspend the Rivers State Governor and house of assembly members in rivers state is a direct violation of the 1999 Constitution.

There are better ways to address issue such as this one.

It is an impeachable offence committed by Mr president.

Section 1 subsection 2 says "Nigeria cannot be govern except by the provisions of the Constitution and there is no Constitution that says the president of Nigeria can unilaterally remove a sitting governor, deputy, and the legislature of a state.

Let's face it, Mr president as appropriated unto himself the powers to make laws for Nigerians that's an assault to our democracy.

The National assembly should call a spade a spade and have the audacity and courage to reject such impunity and insults on Nigerians and to our democracy.

This is what you get when the leaders were not Constitutionally elected no respect whatsoever for Nigerians and the rule of law.

But governor have power to suspend house of assembly and create his own house of assembly of about 3 of his friends. The governor also have the power to do anything he likes with his 3 friends who has usurp the power of the house of assembly. I think we are setting a very bad precident. If we are not careful, this model will be replicated in almost all states because there is no state governor that will not have any issue(s) with the assembly members.

Don't be stupid my friend why would he demolition a structure of that size say bcus he nor want make them impeach am, if it was his own property will he demolition it? They just they waste public funds anyhow and no body to question then. Good as this rebuilding project is, it's one of the many unconstitutional acts/actions taken by Fubara and his four, and later, three so-called House of Assembly members in glaring contravention of the Constitution.

He bombed and later bulldozed the former complex reported to be among the best in Nigeria only for him and his rogue Assembly members to award the contract for rebuilding it to who knows.

This is a sheer waste of scarce resources that could have been used in solving other critical challenges facing the people of the State.
