Nigerian internet personality Kuye Oghenevwede Adegoke, professionally known as Egungun of Lagos or simply Egungun, recently welcomed a child with his wife. The couple received a special hospital visit from renowned Yoruba gospel singer Tope Alabi.
In an emotional video that has gone viral, Tope Alabi began singing the moment the hospital door opened.

As she approached Egungun’s wife, who was seated on her hospital bed wearing a hospital gown with a drip still attached to her hand, the new mother stretched her arms wide and embraced Tope Alabi while she continued singing.

Overwhelmed with joy, the mother joined in the worship song, closing her eyes as if in a deep moment of prayer.

The touching video has stirred emotions online, with many internet users sharing heartfelt congratulations.
Egungun first gained mainstream attention when his videos were reposted on social media by Snoop Dogg and Tunde Ednut a few years ago. Since then, he has remained in the entertainment spotlight.

Tope Alabi is just an entertainer with good lyrics and voice. That doesn’t make her a Christian but in Nigeria, every gospel singer is a Christian.

Among Christians and non-Christians alike in Nigeria, the only thing that speaks the same language is money. You can be a visible criminal all you like, the pastors will worship regardless, and the so-called gospel ministers will sing your praises. The only reason is because the pastors and gospel ministers alike are all looking to filling their pockets with wads of cash. They all want to be millionaires. A pastor is driving a Rolls Royce in the midst of grinding poverty where millions hardly eat one-square meals. Yet, you'll hear things like "what's his business?", "Does he owe them anything?". Still though, for the pastor, his congregation owes him their tithes! What an irony!
