Suggestive comments towards her and sometimes in the presence of other Senators that isn't sexual harassment. She definitely needs help mentally.
What is that if it is not sexual harassment? Do you even know what sexual harassment is? "Is that an invitation to treat" is not sexual harassment in your dictionary?

It's almost what any play boy says or does in wooing a lady (who don dey give am green light).

The impression she gave in the first interview when this thing started was some kind of denial of rights as a senator and persecution for refusal to his advances.

It is evidence of the latter we want to see not all this nonsense.

Af0nja2:

Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, senator representing Kogi central, has alleged that Senate President Godswill Akpabio repeatedly threw suggestive and lewd comments her way.

Akpoti-Uduaghan was suspended from the senate on March 6 for “gross misconduct and unruly behaviour” over her seating arrangement altercation with the senate president.

Her suspension came a day after she submitted a sexual harassment petition against Akpabio on the floor of the senate.

In an interview with the BBC, Akpoti-Uduaghan restated that the “gross misconduct” premise for her suspension was a smokescreen to silence her.

She said Akpabio frequently made sexual advances towards her in and out of the senate chamber — and sometimes before other senators.

She alleged that Akpabio would “squeeze my hands in a very suggestive way”.

“There was a time I forgot to wear my ring because I rushed to work. And there were about five senators there. And Akpabio said ‘oh Natasha, you are not wearing your ring… is this an invitation to treat?” she said.

“There was another time he made a statement like ‘Natasha, your husband is really enjoying. It looks like you’d be able to make good movements with your waist’.

“He makes such sexist statements. And then they (other senators) all laughed.”

Akpoti-Uduaghan broke down in tears when the interviewer asked what impact her victim shaming and intimidation claims have had on her.

“People don’t understand what it means to carry this. Maybe we don’t talk about it enough in Nigeria or Africa,” the senator said in between sobs.

“I just want a place where I would just work. I thought the worst was over, but I guess for a woman, it’s never really over, right?”

She, however, added that the positive for her is that some female parliamentarians from across Africa have been ringing her up to encourage her and to say they face similar sexually charged, male dominated environments in their respective parliaments.

SENATE REACTION
Responding to the interview, Onyekachi Nwaebonyi, the senate’s deputy chief whip, told the BBC that Akpabio never made passes at Akpoti-Uduaghan.

He also said the senate president never made any inappropriate comments towards the female lawmaker whether in his country home or the senate chamber.

Nwaebonyi also rejected Akpoti-Uduaghan’s claim that the senate is trying to silence her.

“Senator Natasha’s legislative activities show this claim is not true,” he said.

On March 5, Akpabio had denied sexually harassing Akpoti-Uduaghan.

“At no time did I ever attempt any sexual harassment on the said distinguished senator Akpoti-Uduaghan or any other woman for that matter,” Akpabio said in the senate chamber.

“I and my siblings were raised very well by my late single mother, who died in 2000, through very difficult times. And I therefore have the highest regard for women.”

The responsibility is on this young lady in her early 40s called Natasha to bring her hard-core evidence out in form of secret audio, videos, and written recordings since she CLEARLY stated that the so-called sexual harassment went on for a year.

She being a lawyer hasn't done all that, yet she has moved from Sky News, to the BBC, and the German DW TV to expose herself WITHOUT providing one shred of evidence.
I can assure you that the day she brings up iron-clad evidence is the day that Akpabio would go down finally.

She told the same LIE of sexual harassment against Reno Omokri who brought out massive FACTS of an international flight ticket from British Airways posted on his X account which proved that he was right in the United States of America on the day that Natasha Akpoti accused him of sexual harassment. It was proof that NO sexual harassment took place. Natasha who was then single immediately deleted her sexual harassment tweet on the X platform when she saw the STRONG rebuttal from Reno.

I dare say here and now that Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has a CLEAR case of bipolar disorder that requires mental evaluation, OR she has been hexed! This case of some people talking randomly and making accusatory comments isn't new at all worldwide. It's a sign of an underlying medical issue affecting the brain's neural pathways or wiring.

Natasha has to undergo professional psychiatric evaluation because CLEARLY studying the videos of her past wild emotional rants on the floor of the Senate towards Sen. Akpabio and her subsequent refusal to stand up like other senators did when when the Senate President came in thereby violating official Senate rules, it's clear that she is going through a lot of psychological damage and mental breakdowns from some past negative experiences going by the past experiences that Reno Omokri had with her as well.

From your understanding even asking a woman out is probably sexual harassment... Quality Education in Nigeria is truly gone to the dogs
Asking a married woman out for konji is morally wrong especially for a public officer.

I think a woman either entertains all these advances trying to secure her job and ranks or throws caution to the air right from the onset and fights a nonsense tooth buck and nails. I don't know what category natasha exactly fits in with this but if I was her husband, these revelations won't make me happy whether with akpabio or my wife

Then you have no idea what constitutes sexual harassment!

"The above definition can be found in section 46 of the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act (popularly known as the VAPP Act). Note that it is operational only in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja and many states across Nigeria have enacted similar state laws (including, Plateau, Benue, Cross-Rivers, Ebonyi, Enugu, Anambra, Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Edo and Lagos)."

You did well for pointing that out to him. Some people are just ignorant of these specific, and unknown to them, the ignorant of the law is NOT an excuse.

There is indeed sexual harassment just like you have verbal harassment in law.

treatise:

In Western world especially USA you don't need hard evidence before you're sentenced for sexual harassment; ask Donald Trump, Piddy D, and many others. I know some religious dictates expect a woman to bring two or more humans as witnesses before sexual harassment or abuse is proven.
so can you mention one person in the US they sentence without proof, P Diddy they was enough evidence, is this the same US people got killed everyday by their friend's, and the police let the killer go because of lack of evidence or he will say its a self defense, the next thing they free him.
18 yrs old boy sexually harassment a girl of her age and got her pregnant, the boy only got 1 years imprisonment then after that they told him to go and look after the girl, u understand what I mean by that's but he is under probation for 4 years

Her claims are very VAGUE and SUBJECTIVE.
They don't fall into category of sexual harassment.

When Obasanjo was so power drunk and wanted a third term in 2006, the entire Country looked up to the Senate for rescue. The burden fell on one great man, Senator Ken Nnamani, President of the 5th Senate, and at the end he STOOD STRONG putting Country first at the risk of his life and career.
Nnamani made sure that the proceedings of the Senate on May 16, 2006 were televised live to the displeasure of the powerful forces around OBJ.
Why did Nnamani do that? Before the day of the debate, he asked Senators to go back home and consult with their constituents, to enable them agree on what to do. So, he stood his ground for the proceedings to be televised live so Nigerians can see how their representatives voted. That singular act made a lot of Senators who already promised OBJ to withdraw and vote against third term. If not for Nnamani, was it not for that singular act, Obasanjo would have been Nigeria's Paul Biya. But to Nnamani it was COUNTRY FIRST. That was patriotism at its best.
Just imagine for a second it was this Akwa-Ibom born Generalissimo. OBJ would have gotten LIFE PRESIDENT.

Akpoti-Uduaghan broke down in tears when the interviewer asked what impact her victim shaming and intimidation claims have had on her.

Akpabio claims that Natasha has traumatized him with her allegations.

Who do we now believe

But then again when Natasha's husband asked her in their hotel bedroom what Akpabio told her in his country home while Mr Uduaghan was a few steps behind them in the phone, she repeatedly told him Akpabio said nothing to her before the husband than told her never to travel abroad with Akpabio.

ni what Akpabio told her really upset her and not a case of her using her femininity to beguile Akpabio into giving her favours not given to other Senators, she should not have lied to her husband in that hotel bedroom that Akpabio told her nothing. So, her breaking down in tears now seems like crocodile tears.

Although, I welcome anyone who will pour pepper into the eyes of our fantastically corrupt and greedy politicians in Nigeria whether they are guilty as charged or not.

For me, Nigerias greedy politicians are guilty until proven innocent.

Even the people supporting her because they have vowed to oppose anything in this government must be tired of her by now.

No wonder no Senator supported her, not even PDP senators, female senators or Kogi senators.

No..I don't know you, isn't that what a faceless forum like Nairaland is all about?

The onus is now on Natasha,to show us her rights that was denied her because she refused to give in to the Senate president sexual approach. She needs to show us how she was treated different from other senators.

The origin of this whole discussion was just that her seat was changed, and she reacted widely to it, infact we may assume that if her seat had not been changed, she won't be going around media houses accusing the man of sexual harassment .
