On the Pen Cinema murder, what ridiculous quote is attributed to the segun dpo regarding the victim. Pictures don,t lie. There were at least 3 police men surrounding this man, the next minute he is dead and his corpse is stripped to show his nudity. OmG. Have we become animals, no one to cover up his corpse with some garments? People arre just looking on. This has definitely ruined the day. I pray for strength and consolance for the family of the deceased. Everyone out there in tjh streets, I pray for your safety. You are truly courageous. |

It has just been confirmed that Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola has called for the immediate arrest of the trigger happy cop who killed a Lagos protester this morning. The state police command has subsequently arrested him and he has been handed over to the state CID. But let just hope that justice will be done! See the power of internet. Justice is all we need, let's put pressure on Lagos state govt #occupynigeria# |

Niggerians(sic) are stoopid. They never know when they are being used and by whom. What makes you as a niggerian think that you deserve cheap fuel? What gives you the right to squander a resource that is finite and has much more advantageous use than powering your cheap, runndown, secoundhand vehicles from europe? What gives you the right to demand infrastructural development where you neither don't contribute your appropriate share in taxation? What in the world makes you, niggerians believe in anarchy over dialogue to resolve an issue? What gives you the right to demand consumption without production? The usuall places are burning, Lagos and Kano. Home of agberos and almajariis. It's expected. The southeast is calm. Ibo man still open shop. The south-south is smiling. sooner or later you in the southwest and the rest of the country will be bidding for oil supply. maybe then asiwaju tinubu will build a refinery in lagos and charge you N300 PER LITRE. Afterall, ACN in Lagos operates the most expensive tertiary university in Nigeria, tolls roads and has driven virtually all industies to neighbouring Ghana. idioots |

Watching from a distance I can see several things going on in my country. We are divided yet united, scared yet bold. Poor but rich, we are home yet abroad far away. So many things has been said about subsidy removal or not. Let me point out here that most of the best countries in the world today doesn't have crude oil the Nigerian messiah. I will not divert this into a cultural, religious or ethnic issue. Let's assume EVERYTHING IS WORKING WELL in Nigeria today like most countries and the government decides to remove subsidy, people will still complain but most people will keep moving on. The point is this, the minimum wage here in the US is $7.38= N1,107(per hour) cant say for some other states. How many Nigerian can boast of such income opportunity not even some graduates. In developed countries, the government make decision with the people in mind that is the rich, middle class and the poor. GEJ said on the long run it would benefit Nigeria, NOI also said the same thing. How many people born before Nigeria got her independence have seen drastic change that involved promises, coup and death all because of desperation of certain individuals. As a country what makes the economy stable is nothing but the process on which the government is run. Subsidy is not the problem, Nigerian govt is BROKE!!! GEJ knows the government can not function anymore and the best way is to remove subsidy, how can you save money you don't have because they have been borrowing all this time. How can your salary, bonuses and allowance be 75% of the budget that has not been implemented yet. Nairalanders crucifying protesters please be informed they are borrowing money to pay their salaries not to improve infrastructure like madam Ngozi said cos her family leaves in DC not in Yaba or Niger Delta. Think about it, why does it have to be now that you want to bring in buses(1,600 to 150 Million) wont they buy petrol to run them, cut 25% of an invisible salary. There's no structure whatsoever and GEJ knows is time is running out and money but be in his pocket. Nigerian government is broke and if subsidy is allowed to be removed, most of the money borrowed will go into the governments pocket. If I was broke too I would desperately advocate for options to get myself back but now they want you and I to work harder and even earn lesser to pay off debt, HABA!!!! E don tey wey this things don dey go on!!! If government is sincere why are their children never in schools in Nigeria, when they are sick they are flown abroad cos they know our Nigerian hospital are nothing to write home about (someone said they should be buried abroad too), why do they buy houses abroad, put money in foreign banks, hardly do things in Nigeria and when they do they do pay collateral(Dangote, not mentioning names ooo) Just too many things to understand about Nigeria. If subsidy removal is accepted( I pray not) our families,in-laws,friends and relative still in Nigeria will pay for it. If you live abroad and support this government policy why not be bold enough to go home now and say no to protest?? I will stop here now but still more to follow We are still occupying Nigeria We wont relent until our children can go to harvard in Nigeria,Yale in Nigeria, good hospitals in Nigeria, good roads!!! Subsidy wont do this for us but rather take us FAR away from good things, Leave my sleeping dog alone at N65:00 until God is ready to answer our prayers!!! The protest continues #OccupyNigeria @yourmesprings |

RE-CLAIM NIGERIA. Fellow Nigerians, Nigeria belongs to all of us. Nobody has any greater stake or right to her than you and I. We must therefore reclaim Nigeria from our tormentors. The present struggle is not just about the removal of subsidy on petroleum. It is also about good governance and also about a fight against the unbelievable level of corruption in government. Our tormentors said we must sacrifice to secure our future. No sermon is as powerful as a good personal example. They must lead by example and we would follow. Our demand should be the following and we would accept no less. It is also non-negotiable. OUR CHARTTER 1. THERE MUST BE IN PLACE A LAW THAT MAKES STEALING PUBLIC FUNDS AN OFFENCE PUNISHABLE BY PUBLIC EXECUTION. 2. THE IMMUNITY CLAUSE MUST GO BOTH AT THE FEDERAL AND STATE LEVELS. 3. THE PRESIDENT MUST SELL OFF ALL THE AIRCRAFTS IN THE PRESIDENTIAL FLEET (the Prime Minister of Britain, a much bigger economy does not have one and travels with British Airways). 4. THE PRESIDENT'S SALARY AND ALLOWANCES MUST NOT EXCEED $200,000 (our President has no reason whatsoever, to earn more than the American President, for what?) 5. THE PRESIDENTIAL VILLA MUST BE SOLD OUT AND BE REPLACED WITH NO MORE THAN A 6BEDROOM HOUSE (the British Prime Minister lives in a 3-bedroom apartment). 6. FEEDING IN THE PRESIDENTIAL AND VP LODGE SHOULD NOT BE MORE THAN 1MILLION NAIRA PER MONTH. (Presently it is 90 million Naira per month for both). >:O 7. NO LEGISLATOR SHALL EARN MORE THAN A PERMANENT SECRETARY. 8. NO GOVT OFFICIAL SHALL HAVE MORE THAN ONE OFFICIAL CAR. 9. NO GOVT OFFICIAL OR APPOINTEE WOULD BE ENTITLED TO FOREIGN MEDICAL TREATMENT (whatever is provided for the citizens should be good enough for our officials). 10. THERE SHALL BE NO OFFICE OF THE FIRST LADY AT THE FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL GOVT LEVELS. This is our SOCIAL CONTRACT. Don't just re broadcast, join the PROTEST: it's a MUST |

Britain is in a mess. If you go to london and see what's happening there u will pity them. As it is in now In britain all salaries even cleaners salary has been cut. Last week I was in london even parking of cars has been increased but one thing they are trying to do is to create JOBS for people to be busy. So many of their soldiers that went to libya came back to hear that they don't have a job in the military again they were paid off. I dey pity that country but thank God for their leadership system that even the prime minister cuts his own salary and expenses. If Nigeria is really broke as our so called thief leaders we voted for claims why not them cut their expenses and salarys. Imagine the senate president earning more than Obama and The british prime minister. Am vexed with this nation |
