santaclaws: 3MB is about 12km long. If you drive at 80km/hr, you will cover it in eight minutes. At 100km/hr, it would take seven minutes. So you see, the difference is not as much as it seems. |

I've tried to maintain 80km on 3MB and it feels like the cars behind me will run me over. I think 100km on 3MB should be the speed limit while 80km should be the maximum on the other roads. santaclaws: 1 Like 1 Share |

This people are not serious, 60km on International Airport road, hope they are aware that there is something called minimum speed limit around areas with security risk, so you expect vehicle to drive at that speed around the airport, so a criminal can maintain such speed in order to aim target with precision. Also some highways with 4lanes like Oshodi Apapa expway, you want vehicle to drive at 50/60km, what speed will they maintain on the service lane of this highway?? 20km?? Another issue is, calibration of speeds differs, so there is always room for error, I saw a footage of a man fined for driving at 63km for a limit of 60km, there should be an allowance of +/-10points |

ValNwachi75: My point exactly. Some pedestrians are busy quoting and analyzing what they don't understand. |

Gboom: You don't drive, it's really easy to spot that, dummy. You're analyzing something you don't understand, is it everything you stick your mouth into? When you begin driving, try maintaining 60-70km on 3MB, you'll wise up. |

Lagos government can't come for no one. Their number plate is probably the most used in this country. Except if the want other states to reciprocate. Ayo25: |

laluski: You don't drive in Lagos... Don't disgrace yourself by talking on something you don't understand. Sitting inside a bus is different from driving a car on 3MB and other highways. You don't know what it means to drive 60km on Lekki-Epe, if you did, you'd know how stupid the law is. 1 Like |

80km/hr is too small on third mainland bridge The should put the limit 90kmHr to 110km/hr Ikorodu should be 100 to 110 km/Hr Epe expressway should be maximum 120km/hr APapa Expressway should be maximum 110kmHr Bank Anthony way should be maximum 90kmHr Ojota bridge should be 90kmhr 1 Like 1 Share |

You need to think deeply and widely about this. Dont forget the president is from Lagos. There is a possibility that there could be networking between Lagos and other states on this and for crimes you commit here in Lagos, you could be apprehended for it even in other states and regardless of the state vehicle plate numbers you are using. To think one of the roads you have the camera is on 3rd mainland bridge which is suppose to be a federal road. Thats to tell you enforcement of violations might not be limited by which states numbersl plate you use. Getting away with speed limit violations might not be as easy as you think. Only time will tell. bobbiiee: |

Ayo25: The LASG government and Ministry of Transportation in Lagos state don’t care about road users. The main cause of traffic congestion on Lagos roads are Danfo buses. 95% or more of Danfo buses in Lagos have no lights, no brake lights, no mirrors or just one mirror, Smokey, rickety, not road worthy. Many of the drivers do not possess drivers licenses, no vehicle papers, yet these vehicles convey millions of people on a daily basis when compared to private vehicles. What has the government done about addressing the excesses of these Danfo drivers that are reckless? One almost damaged my mirror this morning because of bad driving habits. They do not obey traffic lights, nor traffic officers. They pose serious dangers to other road users. They drive against traffic at will and not even LASTMA officers can stop them, police also have little control over them, Road safety and VIO don’t even act like they notice them. If LASG is truly serious about safety and value for human lives in Lagos and its roads, they must attend to the menace of Danfo drivers, Keke operators, Korope drivers and Okada riders. Until they address this menace, they’re only ripping off other road users to make money. 1 Like 1 Share |

What you put up there, how is it related to the topic of speed limit violations and payment of fines by offenders. You see this is just about government bashing and nothing more. Sheuns: |
