There is palpable tension in Sokoto State as rumours of protest over the recent killings of 16 hunters in Uromi, Edo State of Nigeria, by local hunters in the state. https://punchng.com/edo-killings-shops-shut-in-sokoto-amid-fears-of-retaliation/?amp 3 Likes

I read them say FEAR made them lock their shops but I was surprised that their action was different from what ipob were saying on Nairaland, Twitter and other social media platforms. Ipob were saying if Northerners try anything to igbos, what happened in 1944 will repeat itself. They were bragging and saying all sorts yesterday on FP. I am only trying to find out if the ibos in the North are aware of the comments ipob are making on social media trying to put their lives at risks or if they are the same persons coming online to chestbeat but hiding under the beds in real life. That's the new research assignment my team and I are currently working on. 38 Likes 8 Shares |

Yet people are still selling suya, doing gateman, and opening cigarette kiosks in Delta, Edo, Enugu, even Benue without fear of retaliation. Southerners have seriously been overindulging their Northern brothers. That's why they think and act like Nigeria is in their pocket. 4 Likes |

PressMyButton: I keep wandering when have the Uromi people became ibos? Was it the ibos who killed those Hausa people? All you mischief makers refuse to learn that the Northerners cannot not differentiate between the Southern tribes as they see all southerners as ibos. You that is happy over this development should knkw that your own tribal people living in bauchi are not safe too when it starts. Ibos are wount to let them up North know too that this killings was not done by ibos and will retaliate if ibls are killed in the north because of this. It is only natural. The security operatives has apprehended rhe culprits behind rhe killings and they should let justice be. Attacking ibos as you are gloating, has every tendency of setting the country on fire. Maybe that is what you are looking for right? 4 Likes 1 Share |

Sooner or later the North will retaliate and because of volatility of this country between the North and the south is one reason I will never live in the North. But if they retaliate then I would want to know the song the North will sing and who shall be brought to justice. 1 Like |

ZombieTAMER: You are a clown What is Fulani Hunters doing in the bush is Uromi? Can't they hunt in their big vast forest lands in the north? All the herders that are cows to graze in other people's farms in the south, why can't they carry their cows to go and eat their own village crops? Nonsense 4 Likes 1 Share |
