Lere Olayinka, media aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, stirred social media reactions on Monday, April 14, 2025, to a group of women who staged a pro-emergency rule protest in Rivers State.

In his tweet, Olayinka wrote, “Rivers women in support of state of emergency. Na women carry this kin placard for Port Harcourt today."

The tweet came shortly after Channels Television reported that a coalition of women groups had taken to the streets of Port Harcourt in support of the controversial state of emergency declared in Rivers State.

The women, all dressed in white, marched from the Garrison Flyover to the Isaac Boro Park, carrying placards bearing messages such as “State of Emergency is Constitutional” and “We Don’t Want Fubara.”

The women expressed their support for the emergency rule and the appointment of Ibok-Ette Ibas as the administrator of the state by President Bola Tinubu.

They called on Ibas to continue what they described as the “good work” being done under his watch.

Let me sound a note of warning to headless mob, you belong to the vocal minority, your voices are being heard everywhere everyday, screaming and wailing on both social and traditional media. You scream at the top of your lungs to attract attention. But what you don't know is the fact that there is the silent majority. This group of people or progressives are the real watchers, the movers and shakers, the deciders of major political results. We saw it play out between Trump and Kamala, while Kamala's supporters were very vocal, Trump's supporters , on the other hand, were just watching, waiting to make things happen. That was what also happened between President Tinubu and the opposition. The BATists who were/are the silent majority were quietly observing the vocal minority and laughing at them. This is also repeating itself in Rivers State. I know the vocal minority/headless mob will be shocked that the opposition has this large number of supporters and to even shock more, these are women of Rivers leading the forefront.
And let me remind you, this is exactly what will still play out in 2027. So, the minority should continue being vocal, making noise and wailing everywhere. When it's time, the silent majority will do the needful.

Nigeria politicians always make sure they organize counter protest for every protest. We have so many useful idiots ready to do their dirty work instead of speaking truth to power.

Integrity is no longer valued because of hunger.

Nigeria is truly an arena for greedy and worthless people calling themselves politicians. Majority of them have no values. Just give them crumb and they will even disown their parents. Look at this one called Lere olayinka. You can easily see that he is a very useless person. Someone I thought is a very sensible person is turned to a slowpoke cos of crumb he is getting from wike. He can easily destroy his former boss Fayose if he try to speak against Wike. This is why this country can never progress cos we have wicked and greedy people masquerading as politician in this country. Even if Tinubu sell this country today, some people will surely praise him for doing it so far he can share something with them.

Rivers state women are tired of Fubara

Same with kids.

If not stubbornness, he should have resigned. It glaring the people of Rivers state don’t want him and only forcing himself on the people.

His actions can be likened to terrorism and dictatorship

Demolition of assembly complex is unconstitutional.
Can you quote the section or sections of the constitution which say that demolition of assembly complex or any building is unconstitutional?

Which sections?

"There is no government in Rivers State." - The Supreme Court of Nigeria.

This was before the State of Emergency and under Fubara's stewardship.

The sole administrator will continue his work till the next election. This will serve as a deterrent to other governors with despotic tendencies.
