It is evident that government in Nigeria has always been the same and nothing will ever change the cartel, or if you like, the cabals.

Government has always lied about everything and it is clear this time that this administration also is telling top-notched lies. If Jonathan is not also a liar,

1. Why did he feign to be one of us (the masses) by saying he had no shoes before elections,. and now he turns hard at us?

2. Why is he now using the police to threaten protesters (that they must get police permit before they can embark on any protest), even when these same people took down the streets for him (without police permit) when they helped him knock out Turai (Yar' Adua's wife) while the erstwhile president was sick in a Saudi Hospital. He has now gotten his over-sized shoe, and he is pulling bulwarks around himself.

Government is now lieing to some people that after withdrawing subsidies, the proceeds will be used for develop infrastructure, create jobs and move the economy.

However, the biting aspect of this is the failure of a gullible, poverty ridden paid faction of the masses that patronize the draconian policy of subsidy removal to discern it as pure deception.

These people can neither collect clues from past, nor see far beyond their nose, took to the streets and invaded the NLC headquarters to register their support for the removal of oil subsidy.

I pity them because:

1. Government can never provide jobs for their likes (who support them). They have already been paid off during their support actions; N1k each to buy them and their unborn children - what a cheap generation?.

2. If government eventually provides the jobs, it will send the hungry paid supporters off the venues. Govt officials will call their own children abroad and fix them at the jobs and the hungry supporters now will be the body guards to their children. It is the case right now for those who supported them before.

This is to call the paid supporters of the fuel subsidy removal to sanity. We know they are paid anyways, and we urge them to take clues from the way they turn back at people after they are elected into offices.

The salvation for their souls now is for these unlearning people to join the mass action now to revert the prices of fuel. It is the only benefit the citizenry ever felt that there is a government somewhere. Government should explore other means to cut spending and leave the prices of fuel at stabilized N65.
