House Of Reps On Subsidy Removal On Their Plenary Session Yesterday by OMEGAJAY(m): 3:04pm On Jan 09, 2012
Oil is the bedrock of the Nation, nobody could tell Nigerians the exalt amount been subsidized, ever since 10 years now N200bn was budgeted for subsidy and not N1.3bn as presented by the FG said Hon. Mankinde Rotimi.
House said fuel subsidy removal is unconstitutional and at such should be made for a proper consultation, i.e home base consultation, however other countries subsidies in the items of their likes such as agriculture, education and so on why should Nigeria be thinking of removing ours since petrol has a control price and is among the items listed in the exclusive list, it is a duty which must not be impose on the masses except where an agreement is reach.
We have instances to judge this undemocratic and bad decision of our govt; diesel had been subsidies for the past five years and there is nothing to account for the progress of the diesel subsidy what then is the assurance to the public that this one will work to the favor of the common men?
Adams Oshomole in his argument mention that one drug cannot be a curative to all ailments therefore what may work in other places may not work in our place if the right machinery were not put in place. We are still growing this is what our leaders should reason, there is no way a country economy could grow in the atmosphere of insecurity our problem should not be centered on fuel subsidy now but to tract down the insecurity state of the nation.
I believe if every Nigerians could massively turn up like this to say no to BH and govt too take a very strong measure to dialogue with them by now we should have gotten a head way whether to accept subsidy in good faith or not, because the poor cannot be dying on bombing everyday and the cost of fuel was skyrocket is that they don't even want them to transport the corpse of their loved lost one home? GEJ and executive
We want peace then we can talk about subsidy, the blood of the innocent ones were crying all over the places and nobody is even ready to stop more shed of this blood, as a big gun the position is not forever when you go bros abasha will ask you, "whether you no no say repentance na earth e dey"
