Following today's protest which turned out to be violent, the governor of kaduna state has impozed a 24 hour curfew in all parts of the state. This was an aftermaths of today's protest by what i can describe as "angry islamic youth" (since obviously no much Christian youths participated for fear of violence). The protest became violent when it was reported that a protester was shot dead. The angry youths then matched to the govt house on an attempt to burn down the whole building. They were however confronted by policemen and soldiers. The ugly scene started yesterday when a trailer load of some islamic protesters were seen with knives protesting. God help us. |
