,John 4:39-42
39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did. ,
40 So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days. ,
41 And many more believed because of his own word; ,,
42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard[ him] ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

The time has come that every Christian would endeavour to know God for himself or herself not simply building their convictions and believes on simply what one Mr. so and so said but rather like these person in the scritural reference above grow from that dependent and baby state of only building on what others have said to a state of self persuation in the gospel thus knowing God for themelves.

Isn't amazing that is available to be known and yet many don't know Him. You can start by building on a foundation laid by others afterall somebody had to preach the gospel to us but there must be that transition where you become a custodian of divine varities and one skillful in the doctrine of righteousness.

There are, it may be, so many kinds of
voices in the world

The point is that people need to learn to hear God for themselves
