Borokinim: I hope you're looking to buy a late TD4 (2004) model, with BMW's excellent 2,0 turbo diesel. The issues with all Rover K-series engines can't be over stressed, both the 1,8 I4 and 2,5 V6 found in the first generation Land Rover Freelander fall into this group. The K-series engines are the definition of unreliable, and are best avoided. If you can't handle a diesel-engined version, I would look beyond the Freelander for a different SUV. The Honda CRV is a much better choice. |
