The Lagos state government has granted permission to the Save Nigeria Group to stage a Protest at the Gani Fawehinmi Park on Saturday 19th instant.

After the denial of Nigerians by the Dictatorial style of a once democratically elected president Goodluck Jonathan who on Monday the 16th of January scared  peaceful protesters with barrels carrying solders, the state seems to be highjacked from Governor Fashola who denied knowing about the force imposed on Lagosians. as a Lawyer with a good understanding of Democracy, He (The Governor) decided to correct a wrong impression of Millitary imposition and have allowed the save Nigeria group SNG to make their demands known to the government who seems not to be listening.

They can have there rally as long as they don't disturb the public and setting up road blocks

Why would any normal person deny people the right to peaceful protest in a democracy? Why would a fit and proper person support the disruption of a peaceful, 'carnival-like' gathering in a democracy?

The approval from the LASG is in order.

I don't see why people should not be allowed to party at the park, provided they don't stop me from using the road.
