There is God`s hand all these things happening now The coming of GEJ portends a good omen for Nigeria His mien & disposition is allowing us to know these inside dealings "Stronger"Rulers like OBJ, IBB, & others would have shielded their "own" people from this public glare Our fortunes would have gone tru Ghana must go bags. Cover-ups must have followed The re-entry of Okonjo Iweala is also very helpful She, by training & experience, knows exact places to beam search lights to expose corruption & she is doing that perfectly well Same applies to Allison Madueke. Numerous big shots they have blocked their nefarious ways are now fighting back We must not fail to realise this---the cabals are being attacked from many fronts They are counter attacking through available avenues With their looted monies they are firing in all cylinders They have to bc the heat on them is enormous So my esteemed Nlanders understand the simple logic there Stop insulting these people who have been sacrificing substantially Most of them are not mean as their paid attackers will make us believe They keep flying kites As you can see none of those silly slurs have stuck However, this does not in any way mean there are no bad eggs around the corridors of power But we must endeavour to separate the sheep from the goat . |

why the waste of people's time, I can assure you, no amount of noise over is worth our time. They are only playing politics with the people. Can someone tell me any probe or committee or ad hoc or whatever that you have seen the result. In this same Nigeria of oputa panel, elumelu probe team turned out to witch hunt itself, tell which one worked. After the strike some people want to get busy so as to reduce tension. Edon tey wen belle dey for front & nyash dey for back. I bet u all these are just play to the gallery & it looks like a lot of people have fallen for it. Anyway its not in my best interest to complain but am just stating the reality |

Fellow Nigerians!!! Why bother? Listening to our government has never done us any good in the past and i am sure will never do us any good now or in the future Stop wasting your time and your 'browsing' money on these people. Not until we get people who will change the whole system of governance in place of this 'Chop-I-Chop' method, The poor will be getting poorer and the rich, richer. NIGERIA IS DOOMED with these politicians at the helm of affairs!!!! |

It's clear to me that head will roll when this hearing are over. If not we must be prepared for another round of protest or, Truth is 90% of nigerians are corrupt, indisciplined and always ready to compromise. we see dis everywhere, at work, on the roads n even at our place of worship. The solution lies in the longterm consistent education n discipline of self in the spirit of patrotism which some of us have started. Lets remove the tree from our eyes then we can see well to remove the toothpick in another. |

nsiadi:Give it up bro. Stop all these desperate defending, did the 'cabals' also doctor her erratic statistics she was dishing out? Did the cabals also push her to support subsidy removal? Why did she kept churning out wrong figures month after month especially in the months preceeding the election till subsidy removal debate period? We all know Gej needed and infact got alot of cash for his campaign, more cash than he could have 'earned' in his time at bayelsa as governor. If OBJ can procecute Tafa Balogun, let Gej go and expose the 'cabals' if they ever really exist. |

I really thought I had seen the worst of the character called Beaf. Not so. It is amazing that he states that these probes vindicate him - even after he had serially condemned the protests and uproar which forced the probes as being worthless protests. This gentleman went so far as to issue vulgar insults to protesters, calling them lazy and unpatriotic "phuckers." There is no doubt that that very uproar and the protests are the singular reason we have all the probes and facts flying around now. And yet this gentleman claims "vindication." I am certain that till the day that I die, I will never come across a more shameless case of rabid dishonesty. Whatever thoughtless insult you will issue as a response to this post is duly noted beforehand, so please don't bother. |

Silly Nigerians. You cry out for change yet you resist it. Don't you know change comes with a lot of sacrifice? many countries have done it via a revolution yet u dont want to die and still u don't want to pay extra. Tnx to all of u for keeping d country underdeveloped. |

@All Why is it that most (>90%) of the people that comment in the political section of this website bigots? Why insult people and hold them in high disregard because they have different opinion to yours? Why employ insult and abusive languages (intellectual terrorism) to win arguement especially when you have run out of facts and convincing theories or opinion. Moderators of this Political Section are total failure for allowing venom instead of free flowing debate for or against a motion raised in the topic under discussion. Everybody has a right to his or her own opinion but nobody has a right to his or her own fact(s) |

Dipwater: That is what all this boils down to. It is clear from the hearings that she didn't do her homework but came instead to lecture us on what we cannot do, without necessarily presenting us adequate documentation or facts to support whatever point she came to make. |

This is the way God wrote it to be. Nigerians could have kept quiet and paid N141 and above per litre of fuel; President Jonathan could have left the subsidy; the NNPC paper could have remained hidden but I know this is the right time to vindicate Nigeria. God has opened a can of worms. IMHO. |

@nsiadi I agree with you, the hand of God is in this one. Its hard really for Nigerians to learn now to trust government after so many years of waste. Its still the Nigerian government in Nigeria, with Nigerian factors possibly at play, so i don't blame Nairalanders or Nigerians at all for all the doubt. The government should prove the masses wrong this time. Citizens from states that have seen transformation in the last 10yrs, Lagos state, Cross river, Akwa Ibom, Enugu state etc had no hope in government to do what they realized within some years, but what their governments have done before their eyes has made them hopeful that good things are possible from Government. The federal government has failed Nigerians in many ways, so the doubt is OK until government proves Nigerians wrong to win that confidence that future governments will enjoy. And this will also set check point for future governments. Just like some states have set standards for other states to see. |

byrron:well said Bro. its such a shame that Myopic Nigerians can't see fact that even the pastor-politician Tunde Bakare isn't different either; that the one and only reason he is against this govt. is because he lost under CPC and not because he has the so called gutless masses at heart nither is he different from any of the business-pastor GOs out there. sorry to digress, just saying what has been in my mind. |
