We are going to participate in an interactive session and go stepwise on creating a little project that will serve to expose
developers to the following:
- Selecting and developing a website template from the scratch
- Creating the template with photoshop or macromedia fireworks.
- Converting the template into an HTML Page
- Adding Cascading Style Sheet
- Creating some javascript effects from the scratch
- Converting the site into a dynamic website with PHP
- Using javascript/Ajax to perform some tasks
- Converting the website into PHP
- Adding a MySQL database
- Making the pages dynamic by loading some contents from database
- Creating a simple custom Content-Management-system for the site.
- Making a simple drupal version of the website
- Making as simple Joomla Version of the website.
- A brief look at HTML 5.0 - why it is special.

At the end of this session, we will have implemented most of the techniques that was taught in the website development classrooms last year on my website - www..net
It is alright if you miss the classes because the lectures are still present in the classrooms. You might want to take a look at them.
