I am living in Nigeria with my unique Nigerian problems. One of which is daily gunfire on the streets, at risk from armed robbers, at risk from beggars, at risk from hawkers, at risk from okada riders, at risk from hunger. To be very honest with you, another gunfire in an American school is the least of my problems. Those people don chop belleful. Period.

some people seem to get irked by any negative news relating to America.

I was there recently and went to a shooting range. The guy at the range jokingly told me that the population of America is too much anyway so if people carry guns to kill themselves it wont matter that much. He generally had the attitude that it was alright for everyone to have a gun and shoot at any other person who seemed threatening.

No! David, you are very wrong. I'm not desperate, neither am I obsessional about going to the US. I am basically concerned about my studies. I know that with an MBA, I'll be better-off in my new place of work.

Also, the US is not the only place for me to study, I was only considering the best in terms of finance, because I don't have money to throw about. Bro, I have a good job here in Naija, so going to the US to scavenge isn't advisable at all. Your belief that I'm scheming to use the MBA program as a way to be in the U.S is wrongly premised. Therefore, I will gladly dismiss it as a mere mumpsimus, though I fell strongly about it.

Moreover, for the reason that you might have decided to stay put in the U.S does not mean that every other person who wants to legitimately go to the U.S will equally sojourn there for life. There are better ways of running to the U.S, like the visa lottery which I don't fancy.

Finally, David, I've seen parts of the US that doesn't enjoy electricity, does commenting on it make me a hypocrite or a tufaced kind of person. You don't need to remind me that the standard of Education in Nigeria and the US is not the same. Be that as it may, I will neither give my arm nor my leg to study in the US. Ah! I no fit now!
