No this is WRONG, How can you hand over the nations maritime sector to a private security firm?

For those who are saying that U.S. hired private security contractors while in Iraq, that is a whole different ballgame. Those security contractors had different responsibilities such as protecting U.S. and foreign dignitaries such as Ambassadors and Consul official etc. Their responsibilities were DIFFERENT. In this case you have a maritime sector that falls under the jurisdiction of the FG, this is not supposed to be privatized. In the U.S., the United States Coastal Guard hold the Maritime responsibilities of the United States from law enforcement, coastal offense and defense, etc.


President GEJ, this is a dangerous move, if these were port security, that's different but for the whole nation maritime sector which extend way beyond the ports, answer is NO.

Are private companies allowed to own small and heavy weapons? Can one set up a private security firm that protects people and property?

You've asked one of the most important questions! Also, the government cannot just simply get out of business! Who is going to cater to the welfare of the poor, weak, and defenseless? Private companies are out to look out for their own interest and they exist to make money.

Even in the US, not everything is privatized! Electricity is privatized but the government has a regulating agency that controls rate hikes. The petroleum sector is privatized, but petrol stations are constantly investigated and prosecuted for prize gouging. Owners of tolled roads cannot just decide to raise the toll rates.

About the only thing security related that is privatized are some of the prison systems under state control. You should never heavily arm private citizens because they might turn into a militia and rise up against you one day!

While they are at it they can privatise the army, customs and the police as well and while they are at it they should tell us how many countries in the world would take such a step.

He is now acting like a scared man who feels he cant trust people around him and starts to take crazy decisions. May God protect us oh.
