tolugar: thanks Go to settings general network cellular data network. Input mtn's apn settings under d cellular data and internet tethering. Go back to network an toggle cellular data off/on. U should see ur personal hotspot |

i went via the link, what am seeing at the net work is enable 3G, cellular data, data roaming, VPN, Wi-Fi, no place for mtn apn... |

I enjoyed the wireless hotspot yesterday, but since morning i've been trying to connect my lappy through wi-fi but it couldn't connect. It will show "trouble shooting problem" but when i connect with usb it will connect. Help me plz |

yahyus: I hope u know dat u can only connect to 3 (or 5) devices at d same time. So try to switch off d personal hotspot and ur wifi, now switch on ur hotspot, it will prompt u to enable wifi, ckick on it and try again. Or did u change d password of d hotspot and u saved d old one on d laptop? D issue can be due to several reasons. |

My Iphone 4 cannot dictate sim...this happened after switch it off when entering church on sunday.I have tried several tricks including turning the flight mode on and off and calling '112' and droping after 2 seconds.Please I need help...i am using mtn sim card. |

Gevey unlock If your phone is jail broken, it could be that the phone was Hacktivated. You said you have been dialing 112, that means you use Gevey. It could be that you are not getting the steps right and MTN can be very funny too with Gevey on iPhone 4. Are you getting the normal Gevey "welcome message"? If yes, all you need do is try and follow the steps the way you should, I'm sure it will work and you can also try other network sim apart from MTN too. |

Using one of my iPhone 4s on iOS 5.1.1 for days now without jailbreak is like been caged. iPhone not JAILBROKEN is like using a car with myriad manufacturer defects. |

I need a phone to bring to nigeria this summer.. if u av ur money buy a factory unlocked iphone. new 4S is like 30k more expensive than d chipped one while d used one is like 20k more expensive than d chipped one. as long as u stick to d dos and donts, u av no problem with the chipped fone. d major dont is DO NOT UPGRADE D IPHONE IF THE NEW BASEBAND DOES NOT SUPPORT THE CHIP. currently d iphone 4S dat is locked is selling more than d factory unlocked one because the latest baseband of ios 5.1.1 works fine with the chips available (both gevey ultra S and rebel pro). |

Well I'm not travelling but my mom is.. She's in california coming to nigeria next week. And she just bought an iphone 4 carrier att. Version 5.1 .. And she has been to a lot of places with the phone and they can't seem to unlock it. So she was telling me that there's an iphone that she wants to buy that is unlocked with gevey sim. But I don't want her to bring a phone that might have complications here.. (Nigeria) |

(Nigeria) now i get it. tell her not to buy the gevey phone. tell her she can get an unlocked iphone 4 in Nigeria dat will never lock again. she can also take it to the US and use with at&t with no problem. all for 75k. she can even buy d latest iphone 4S dat is also unlocked to any network for just 93K. these fones are very very neatly used fones with no scratches. |

Tell her to sell it off and add some money to get herself a factory unlocked iPhone there or when she gets here. Just a suggestion though. |
