chamotex:Exactly my point. We didn't lose the league because we didnt score enough goals, but rather from careless points we dropped.We were careless. We didn't need to score a zillion goals. We had the second-best goal tally last season.That's why I thought initially RvP's signing wasn't what we needed. But our defence/midfield has been terrible this year,so I guess from that point it was not a bad move. |

^ what do you mean by that, was it not the same VP that missed a penalty against s'otton, and how did he give united 3 point against reading,when he only scored one in the first half, he even missed an empty net that day, and who says welbeck or chicharito will not be scoring if united had not bought RVP. RVP may score and take a big amount of the spotlight after his brilliant start and high profile move, but Rafael is making a huge case for player of the season. So far he would be my player of the season. Just goes to show why its good to persevere with young talents, as it costs nothing and can pay off wonderfully. |

StarBoard: The defence has majorly been the culprit don't know what is wrong with them. The truth is we can never really determine a season from the last one. We scored about 89 goals n conceded 33 came 2nd on goals diff, meaning if we had conceded less we coulda won the league, this is agreeing that a tally of 89 goals should be enough to win the league, but we may also score 100 goals more tha last season and concede 40 goals also more than last season and win the league. We just have to find a balance in the team. Its amazing how we almost always concede in every match but have shown character to outscore our opponents bar the games we lost. |

Hope Fergie does not play any of those old men because he is facing Sunderland. We have knack for struggling with teams down the ladder. Don't know if valencia has recovered cos that means both he and Nani are out which leaves the right wing bare, heard rooney is also a doubt. It would be interesting to see our line up today, might just be the reason for baba to play those old men. |

Second half was very crap. I don't know why we always relent when we get comortable leads. We just slow down like the game is already in the bag. Sunderland had about 10 shots on target...at Old Trafford? |

It was a game of two halves really. First half we were fantastic, our approach play was terrific and we really did give them a hiding save for Rooney's poor first touch and Valencia being Valencia. Second half was pure tripe, once I saw Scholesy coming on I knew nothing good was going to come out of it, what's more he was to pair Cleverley in the middle, two players who are not renowned for their defensive qualities. I expected Sunderland to take advantage more than they did honestly..then came Giggsy and he wasn't as dire as Scholesy was but not better imo. Twas good to see Vidic back and hope we get some defensive stability from here on. All in all twas a typical united performance(making it difficult for ourselves in the end)..just glad they all came through unscratched. PS: Valencia should be Stripped of that #7 shirt..He's not deserving of it..That player is shite! |
