First twenty minutes looked very good. We did everything wight except we didn't score. The last 25 minutes we became careless. Memphis and Januzaj showing the inconsistency young players are known for. Great individual talent but they sometimes forget this is serious business.

The major problem is the slow build up. We allow the opposition to regroup before we push to the final third. I can't understand Mata's lack of pace, but what about Memphis and Januzaj? They aren't stretching our forward play. We may need Young or even Valencia to carry the ball swiftly to the final third.

Too much passing game is has not worked so far. Our slow game is giving Newcastle hope and the clock run down quickly to our disadvantage.

Which chance did Rooney miss. The service to th the box is virtually non existent. Before we get to the box, two or three people have marked Rooney. Even when he has opened well, Memphis and Januzaj will opt to go individual.
