Our injuries is perculiar because the long term injuries happened in one department - defence. Shaw, Vanlencia, Rojo have been out for a long term. The worst is that the back up are not just capable. Oshea would do a better job than Blind, Darmian and McNair.
so what happened to the midfield or attack.. Is it injury that's making Rooney, Mata, Depay, Lingard play rubbish simultaneously?

“But then the injury of Darmian happened and that changed the play I think because it was not a nice thing to view for my players. Every change I have made today I knew in advance that in set plays we would have a problem. When replacing Fellaini and Darmian you lose two headers, and we don't have a tall team."

Louis Van Gaal

True.

The reason Fellaini is starting while we have Jones and Rojo away.

He showed himself to be an utterly incompetent, shit talking blowhard long before today. He was literally asking to be sacked around Christmas time but this utter shambles of the board/management decided to stick with him for some unknown reason.

At this stage, I totally blame the decision makers of this club. What in the hell is going on? Why was he kept after the Norwich loss, which should have been the last straw?

We are not getting Champions league football by finishing in the top 4 this season. Europa league might be our only hope, and that is possible only if sack this idiot and get a reinforcement or two in the next week.

You said Martial was played on the right. I don't think so, excerpt if you are saying we played 4-3-3.

I supposed we played 3-4-1-2 with Rooney and Martial as two strikers in front of Herrera.

Fellaini is better than Mata in central midifeld. Mata is not a CM. Mata went into AMC when he came on while Herrera dropped to CM. Again Fellaini is starting because without our first choice defenders available he offers protection to set plays against us. Secondly, he starts because Schwesteiger and Carrick are injured.
I saw rooney stationed on the left in most of our attacks and Martial on the right which for me was wrong...Lingard was stationed as a wingback but he added little or no attacking impetus to our play...
Now this is my problem, how do you outscore your opponent when your most inform striker is no where to be found around the opposition box and our most effective winger is deployed out of position?

Is it because of injuries we are not scoring too?

These players are the fastest over long distance not only in Manchester United but also some of the fastest in the league.

Valencia
Shaw
Smalling
Young
Jones

Three of them are also good headers of the ball in defence. Without these players we lack the ability to carry the ball forward swiftly and with a balance. They help us to push our defence very high because I am yet to see any striker that will carry the ball from half way to our box without Valencia, Shaw, Smalling and Jones catching up.

We can see even Jackson is hard to outpace. Today, we barely crossed into the final third with the ball even though we had countless opportunities to burst forward. The defence was far from the front two men, and everyone was dragged back by the defence. Martial and Rooney can be fast over a short distance, but certainly not over a long one. Rooney recorded our fastest time last season, and Martial holds the record this season. But when the race is stretched these two guys wont come up.

At least we had a period we were scoring many two to three goals with almost everyone fit.

Please stop the all too obvious butt licking, we all loved Van Gaal appointment but he seems to have nothing more to offer us going forward...
See his flimsy excuse, if it's the case, Mathieu, Vermaleen and Bartra should be starting every game for Barca...So much for defending set pieces

The foundation is weak. I mean the defence. Due to slow and inexperienced players in the defence, our forwards cant concentrate. I think Mata has not scored since Valencia injured. But he was our leading scorer before then. We need men who are comfortable on the ball, protects it and carry it forward quickly. Fast legs = high line defence = attacking football. Remember last season.

Someone to carry the ball forward? At one point we had Di Maria, Nani, Raphael but your much loved manager deemed them surplus to requirement, who does that?

6 wins in the last 21 games for Manchester United.
Can't think of any big club in world football which wouldn't have sacked Van Gaal by now.

Our slow defenders ensured we played a deep defence line which dragged our CMs backward. Then Herrera too was dragged backward from his attacking midfied role (hole). Martial natural instinct to drift wide ensured he went to the right. Without service, Rooney would always drop too.

We played a formation we don't play every day, and we got two young players praying as wing back. I recall Gaal said the wing backs are specialist of 3-4-1-2 or 3-5-2. Now he got young players to play as wing back. There he had a big fault.

Look at our results during that period. The few matches we didnt do well was when we didnt have all the strong men starting. Like against Arsenal.

I won't support a sacking now, LVG should finish the season and then Giggs or any other "low profile" manager can take over for a long stint starting in the new season.

Baba - we invested huge amounts of money on the following players to bolster our attack..

Mata - 37m
Martial - 35m
Depay -25m
Rooney -300k/week

Yet that attack hasn't been better than that of Sunderland, Norwich, Watford etc and you feel comfortable blaming it on injuries sustained by Shaw, Valencia & Jones.

So much for being a "great pundit"

The thing tire me sef. Poor attack and the defenders should be blamed. Soon De Gea will be blamed for being unable to provide long through passes to the forwards.
